Recently the Guinness World Records committee held a vote for the Top 50 Video Game Villains of All Time to be included in the Guinness World Record’s 2013 Gamer’s Edition. At the top of that chart sits Bowser, crowned the best video game villain of all time. Bowser has been kidnapping Princess Peach since 1985, so it’s nice to see an iconic figure at the top of this list. He won the prize with nearly 20% of the vote, but nearly lost to a cheeky AI system.
In second place was Valve Software’s GLaDOS from the 2007 video game Portal. If gamers have anything we say it’s definitely good taste, since Bowser belongs at the top of this list. If you’re interested in seeing the full top 50, which contains may Nintendo villains, you can check it out on Guinness’ announcement page here.
