So what about all the other countries where these games are popular that don't have school shootings?
Games are not the problem and trying to claim they are with little evidence, merely serves to shift focus from the real root causes.

The M-rating holds 0 influence over here, more it's shown as a sign of approval, it has to be violent enough to get an M or it won't sell, and that's what has to change. Which is why I like the PEGI rating of a giant red 18 over a black and white M. |
Or parents could enforce things a little more... I knew a kid that was getting M Rated games when he was 6. His parents would just buy the game without even looking at it. That's one of the problems we have.
(He didn't turn out to be a killer though. Luckily, I guess.)

Not even the parents know that M means 17+. ESRB chooses really small font to address the age issue. Some parents are just ignorant of what they buy their children, and I believe that a more visual signal will help.
(Prediction:CoD sales will decrease this year, just because of all the news nowadys about violent video games, talk about influence of the media)

Ok, then what's your answer if you believe the games played such a large part in these shootings? |
More regulations on how minors get these games. Let parents know about these games their kids are playing. Educate these kids that games are just games.
NintendoPie said: Why can't we stop blaming other things for these children's deaths? It was the kid that killed them. Not the games. If a person thinks they can go on a shooting spree because that's what they do in CoD then they need Therapy. |
I say kids are easily influence in media. For example I use you, as a age 14 years old how do you get to the conclusion that you hate your own country and most of the people in your country? What life experience did you learn that effected you to use the word "hate". Hate is a very strong word to use toward a group of people regarding their race and their country.

Drinking coffee, going on a mass murder is the same to you as playing violent video games, going on a mass murder. Sorry dude, done debating with you. Have a good night. |
No it isn't the same I'm just showing you how pathetic your argument is.

So it's the parents fault? You say that kids are easily manipulated? Well then the parents should pay a little more attention the games their kids play. If the cover of the game is this:
It's obviously not a game about rainbows and unicorns.

Pathetic because I value life of a child and don't want any stone unturn to make sure none of these shit ever happen again. Ok dude, enjoy your video games.

Lol dude you are so oblivious. They used to say action movies caused people to become violent and now because video games are more relevant they are attacking them. Get over it bro, video games don't cause people to go out and kill children.

This is a point that i was about to bring up in my last post
They want to slce the gaming industries head off for "brainwashing" but let the media continue to brainwash individuals though??
and so what do you have to say about the kids who are influenced by the media? how should we stop that?
