No, it's the register. They are like Bild/the Sun but related to tech news.

Let's kick it up a notch, then. While Microsoft sold 60 million Windows 8 licenses "on paper", Apple sold 75 million iPhones, iPads, iPad minis and iPod touches. That's 75 million licenses for iOS 6 in the hands of actual paying customers (you might say they had no choice in what OS to buy, but that is precisely how Windows got so big also). And heck, Android must have given away more than that. With the smartphone/tablet market growing much faster than the PC market, it seems that Windows's time as the dominant computing platform on the planet is rapidly coming to an end (of course, there are things you can't do on mobiles yet, but that is just how disruption has always worked). So what happens next?

Poor MSFT, this is proof that their strategy of trying to make Win8 the platform for all things isn't working as well as Balmer wanted.
MSFT obviously wants the partners to sell more high end computers, which would presumably be used for business, but heck, businesses are trying to save a buck just like everybody else.
I also understand that every other Windows iteration ends up being poor, but MSFT is running into harder competition these days, I mean it has mobile and tablet markets that aren't doing so great cutting into its more profitable sales ( PC ) . So, it's kind of like being caught between a rock AND a hard spot that you can't get out of.
Well after posting the biggest quarter profit ever in it is history and the second biggest quarter profit from any company in the USA Apple still sold lost 50 billion on the stock market and some are already calling it the end for Apple....
So yeah so no surprise that MS is doomed in those people's eyes aswell =p.
All I have to say is I love Windows 8 and I don't even have a touch screen. The new Start Screen with the Tiles is great. It took me a little while to get used to it, but now I'll never go back. It's all about personalizing your start screen and changing some old habits. Once you do that it's actually very simple.
I think once enough people give it an honest look they'll at least understand that it does everything that Windows 7 did.
Microsoft crash landed because they tried to be Apple and stopped being Microsoft. They are never happy unless they have a monopoly. Apple is more appealing to families and artistic entertainment focused people. Windows is focused on the general tech crowd and business. Microsoft needs to decide where they stand.
That's a pretty arrogant reaction. You can't expect manufacturers to take loses just to help your product. Most non-business users don't want a hyper-expensive tablet.
Also, they're fooling themselves if they think the badges they stick on computers mean anything to the average person.

ne3xt time MS will (should) build around PC's being manufactured, an not have PC'S built around windows.
What the fuck are some of you blinded fanboys talking about? (If someone feels offended, I will take the ban. I just had to say it, without calling names)
MS crash-landed? In case you missed it, they just posted a 8.3 billion USD operating income for the past 3 months.
Windows 8 sold 60 million copies. MS gained market share in the OS market, sitting at 91.76%.
Skype calls are up 59%!
MS SQL Server saw double digit growth and the "Server & Tools" division (a division everyone here seems to forget about) posted a 2.1 billion USD profit.
MS Office has a new version on its way soon.
MS is on track to break the 25 billion USD profit mark for the year 2013.
Again, how did they crash-landed?
This is just getting stupid.
