Apparently this conforms with the AC Nielson report we've seen recently. A graph of marketshare, including total LTD, YTD 2007, and YTD 2008:


Not only does this show Wii in the lead, but the marketshare is increasing -- 51 percent LTD, but 54 percent over the holiday period, and 66 percent since New Year's.

Uh, I guess you just read the title. It states quite clearly that the Wii has outsold it 3:2 LTD, and that ratio is inreasing in the Wii's favor, not decreasing.

Since New Year's for example, Nielson has the Wii outselling the PS3 almost 5:2, or over 2:1.

I think the wii has 51 percent market share.

Excellent. Nintendomination is going according to plan.

With better performing third-party support...Nintendo could have this entire gen in the bag...of course, that would be contingent on third-party developers developing high quality titles.

I would LOVE to see a Grandia sequel on the Wii. I know the chances are a million to one, but I can dream.

And what is the hold up on Mega Man Wii?



I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

LMAO. If Soriku doesn't understand how percents work. 100 percent (%) reprents full market while 0 percent (%) is nothing. I guess Soriku didn't read the OP. Let's wait for Diomedes to arrive so he can tell us how stuffed the channel is. @Rol: Nice to see you back. Guess the ban ended. It's been pretty boring when no one was blaming Wii Fit.

I can tell you what the hold up is on Grandia: the team that makes Grandia is making Super Smash Brothers Brawl for Nintendo.

Pretty amazing. We'll see if this brings them closer to Nintendo in the future -- perhaps we'll see one of Game Arts RPG efforts on the Wii after Smash has shipped.

Possibly. Mainly, I just wanted to point out how mind blowing it was to find out that the team behind Grandia/Lunar is making Smash Brothers. It's such an odd combination: not only are they hardcore RPG devs, they're third party, to boot.
