Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Direct announced for tomorrow - Wind Waker HD/3D Mario/Mario Kart/New Monolith game/Yoshi's Epic Yarn and more!

@JWeinCom I'm not dogging Nintendo because I'm a Sony fan boy, I a gamer. Nintendo has ALWAYS had lengthy dev times. Just look at the Wii for your example, with how few and how late their titles were to us the gamers. That was when things were in SD. Just wait and see how long things take now that it's all in HD, and requires multiplayer, and MiiVerse connectivity, and GamePad support.....you see where I'm going with this.

I'm all for quality games, and them taking the time needed to become the great games they are destined to be. What's not ok, is seeing Nintendo fall flat on their face, loosing customers and the marketplace in turn, due to bloated lengthy delayed development cycles. I read that they are merging their two dev houses to improve that a bit, but they've never been good working in MASSIVE teams either. I'm simply voicing my concern as to what appears to me, as a gamer since the days of Atari, to be a very limited new games release schedule from Nintendo for the life cycle of the WIiU.

I'm glad that this hype train has ended being a happy train

unlike usual...

I like the Yoshi game, although I'm not sure how it wil look like as video they showed had 2 very different looks, one more like Kirby's game and another one with beefed up graphics.

I'll hold my opinion on Wind Waker HD until they show a video, but I'm glad that they choosed  this Zelda game for the HD remake.

Monolith's game looks stunning, and the animals looked almost real (all the real those things could be, of course). And the best part of it is that the video, in 720p, looks like it is in-game footage not some rendered trailer.

Edit: I forgot about The Wonderful 101! Is it me or the graphics have been improved? The streets are no longer flat, grey textures and the buildings and enemies loolk better. Another game to follow.

Please excuse my bad English.

But what can they show at e3 now? All they've got is Mario and Mario kart to show off now... or??

There's still Retro...

Yeah, but then they wouldn't have anything for e3 2014 ^^

For E3 2014.. WiiU Zelda along with final info and launch date for Smash Bros?

Yeah, probably... but they'll need something more than that! But seriously, this e3 is gonna be awesome!!! I'm taking the day off så I can enjoy it! 2 new consoles and Nintendo showing their muscle!!! It's gun' be guuuud!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

uhh i have literally like 80 VC games, so I HAVE to pay to play them or I have to pay to play them on the gamepad?

Separate VC for Wii U, from what I understand. So in order to have them on Wii U you need to pay, extra 80-120 bucks. By having them on the system you obviously would have an option of off-TV play.

Scratch that, I forgot you could transfer Wii VC games, but no Wii U functions. So you pay for Wii U functions technically, if you want to. Acceptable.

I get it sucks having to pay, but think of it as an incentive too, an HD compatible version, Gamepad play and miiverse support for 1-1.50, it allows other developers to do the same thing, as opposed to just making another version and not allowing an upgrade, its incentive for developers to give you the option to upgrade it.

I'm liking Yoshi. From the looks of that tiny bit of gameplay, eating enemies will be akin to a mushroom in Mario, hopefully that comes with going in reverse when attacked and that means no more pitiful easiness n.n

I am devastated. I have now lost all hope that we will ever see a Majora's Mask remake/remaster. I just want to cry and cry and cry :'(

Now more than ever it is likely we will get remakes of Zelda games, but I would believe Majora's Mask to be a 3DS remake in all honesty, but I could be wrong.

Consider my expectations surpassed...
This Nintendo Direct was absurdly good...
I wish the VC transfer was free, but I don't mind paying a few dollars for a select few games...
I wouldn't have transferred all of my games anyway...
I would love to be able to transfer Fluidity; playing that on the tablet would be awesome...
And I would also love to play Xenoblade on the tablet...

Have a nice day...

Ridiculously Japan centric. Will the West buy a single game shown today?

Really? Yoshi - Mario - Zelda? Last time I checked where more popular in US than JP.

Switch!!!
