So so true. There is very little reporting on snow, if snow falls in Scotland instead

Indeed, but I think its because London doesn't seem to have any plausible solution to anything more than an inch of snow other than severe delays on public transportation. It's pitiful taking into account the obscenely large amount of money you have to pay for tickets even when having a student Oyster. And that's just one of the problems -_-

But how hard is it really to just grit the roads and main paths around the city, they knew the snow was coming and yet once again, nothing was done to keep things moving. As, for the increasingly expensive public transport, thats going straight to one place only, to make the government and there business buddies richer and richer. If the money had been used to improve infrastructure, then there would be less problems now.

There are consistent "engineering works" in London Underground, all of which go on for an extended period of time, cause mass inconvenience and bottle necks, kudos to them at least they try to keep them to weekeneds or off peak times, but still. I just don't understand how pricey the tube is, it's a daylight robbery. And that's the thing, councils seem to slack and barely grit the roads, I mean similar shit has happened consistently the last 2/3 years and yet they dont learn from their mistakes. Every year, it snows/cold snap in January/February, roads get icy, accidents increase, busses & tubes barely run, it's like a British thing now.
