Probably FPS, mostly because of Borderlands 1 & 2 but especially because of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. I've put so many hours into Fallout this gen. I don't play military shooters, but I love sci-fi and post-apocalyptic titles, so that also includes Killzone, Rage, and Crysis titles, among others.

It's close, though, as I've spent a ton of hours in the Dragon Age and Torchlight universes, as well, and Valkyria Chronicles. I'm sure it would have been RPGs and SRPGs easily in the top spot again, as with the previous two generations, had it not been for the lack of quality Japanese RPGs on home consoles.

RPG well the goes without saying to me becuase it takes longer to beat one of those games. second is platfromer and then adventure. I don't like shooters. Been there done that. some are cool though I guess.

But I agree with NintendoPie, Mario genre the best. ;P

rpgs by far.

skyrim 100 hours
mass effect trilogy about 200 hours
ff 13 and ff 13-2 about 120 between them

a few more.

most other genres i will only play the game for 15-20 hours max basically until completion

I have had these games since the 1990s o.o. (Except for Secret of Mana 2)

If I was rich I would have a xbox360, 3DS and a Vita now D:

Sorry, thought you bought all those games this Gen. I have most of those games and I had them since the 90s also. Never got the chance to replay them except for Ogre Battle which I just finish for the 5th time six months ago.
