Normally I'd roll my eyes at such a thread but all these All-Stars hate threads have really gotten on my nerves. Why not just keep it to the several that are already up? In this instance, a copy-cat thread comparing PS3 and Wii U sales would be amusing.

It's not that it's just bad it is insulting to Nintendo and anyone can see it is a carbon copy of the idea of Smash bros with a worse roster and worse gamplay mechanics. Even non-nintendo fans shake their heads at this game.
I as a consumer have the absolute right to complain about a product when it is terrible. All this trashing is a warning left for years to come. "Don't blatently copy others". If trashing the game on internet forums is they way to do it I'm happy with that.

Judging a game from a beta is horrible. If I did the same I would own no games.
It's one of the funnest fighters I've played and hopefully it will have some form of legs.
"Most fun" Funnest is not a word. Not trying to be anal and I know some people don't speak english as a main language but just so you know.
And when a beta is out like a month or two before the game's release i consider it more of a demo than a because they really arent going to fix much from it. And either way the scores reflects my exact opinion of the game. They were even saying things i said was wrong with it in the first place.
You still aren't receiving the full experience with a demo/beta. Playing two different maps and just four characters doesn't give off a fun type of experience.
If I played a ssbb demo with the same limited maps and characters I would find it to a be a crap experience.
The problem wasnt the characters or the maps, it was the mechanics and the physics i had a problem with.

yes it is. And i dont want to argue with you or anything, but personally i just dont feel it is a great game. Super Smash Bros is much more accessible then sony all stars.

I don't own it because I know it's bad, this isn't some rampant fanboyism, I've tried it at demo Kiosks and a friend of mine bought it for lolz. (Before you say demos aren't the entire game, I saw enough.)
If you like the mechanics then good for you. Still doesn't change the fact that it's pretty much a copy.

I hate how they present it as a PS smash bros. The gameplay may be different, there have been other "All-star" games.
But at least try to show in presentation that it isn't a Smash game. Change the name, change the stage designs, and don't let people see this.....

Anything over 500k is good for a new franchise, but since this is the SSB of PS, i expect no less than 2mil lifetime, but it'll be good if this game gets a mil i guess. TBH, if it gets a mil now it wont be that much of an accomplishment! Why? Well PS3 has over a 70mil userbase and this game got heavy discounts, more than every game this holiday! Me personally think it well have 1.2mil life w/o bundle imo
oh because i was about to say that this game is definately going to reach a mill. It will cross the million mark a few weeks before LBPK does
these games are slow burners and you can tell just by the way that it is selling now
Battle Royale MIGHT be able to reach like 2 mill but we just have to watch the legs as they happen. I'm waiting to see if Sony is going to bundle this and if so, i want to see how far this gets before they bundle it
I originally predicted this to sell 3-5 mill as long as it had ATLEAST decent advertising and Crash Bandicoot and Spyro because these are the PlayStation mascots and will FOREVER be apart of PlayStation Family.
and of course the main PlayStation franchises are not here to represent their place in the PlayStation Universe and the advertisements were pretty much absent besides that wack commercial in Europe

Battle Royale also needs some work done because it does have some stuff that is missing and there are little things that bother me with it
like where the fuck is the background crowd? They also could have allowed unlockable characters and hidden stages. LIKE WTF!! I NEED TO FEEL LIKE I'M PROGRESSING!!! I loved that rewarding feeling i got when i unlocked a character or hidden stage in Smash Bros. There is no feeling in Smash Bros that feels better than when I unlock a character or a hidden stage
you know that Hit the bag thing that was introduced in Smash Bros Melee? yea they need something like that in Battle Royale AND that Hit the target mini game thingy lol
It needs a subspace emissary type Adventure mode or ATLEAST an adventure mode like the 1 in Melee(I was expecting to see 1 of these in Battle Royale. They could have made a damn adventure mode. You remember that video of the early build of Battle Royale when it was called "Title Fight"? well some of the stuff in that video could have EASILY been used in some parts of the Battle Royale adventure/Subspace emissary mode.

They could have fleshed out the whole rivalry thing A LOT more than they did. The menu while selecting a character could be better and it is also bland when you are waiting for a match to start in the single player mode. I also like the way you "select" characters in Smash Bros better aswell. you know how when you select a character you have to drag the little coin thing over the character to select them? yea i like that more than the" regular" way you do it in Battle Royale =P
also i somehow "feel" more involved in the game while waiting for a match to start in Smash Bros but i guess that is due to the blandness of the battle royale menus and wait screen
I'm convinced that SuperBot was solely focused on just outdoing Smash Bros 64( being that it was the 1st in the series like Battle Royale is) and i'm hoping that they step it up next gen just the way Nintendo did when Melee released
It's a pretty good game when it comes to the gameplay or what not though(which is what matters the most to everybody i guess)
The reason i didn't like Brawl as much as Melee was because they slowed the gameplay down and it didn't feel right AT ALL playing with the Wii Mote but that was back when it launched
but Battle Royale is going to slowly climb up the chartz regardless though
