i think calling wii u a dreamcast is way off, i don't recall dreamcast having problems doing lastgen ports, infact dreamcast could emulate n64 and ps, unlike the wiiu which has inferior ports at the moment, insiders are saying nextbox and ps4 games will blow away currentgen at launch.

??? Based on what would you make that analogy?  If anything the rumors would put the nexbox and ps4 at pretty much equal performance.  Of course, it is way too early to make any kind of definitive analogies, so this is just an exercise in futility...

Can we please discuss something, anything, instead of going "omfg nintendo fanboys" "omg ps3 fanboys" "omfg xbox fanboys" all the time in every single thread? No?

Anyways, I don't care which one is going to be more powerful either, but they must be powerful because less powerful is cheaper to produce  (unless they go with some complicated stuff), yet they will still be selling the consoles at full price.

It's true that a game is good because of the story, the playability, etc but there is no reason to tell that story and present that game with less powerful graphics when it can be done with more powerful graphics (in the end they'll be charging the same).

If the next gen is only half as fast as all these rumours the graphics will look better than reality does.(but i hope ms won't torture us with yet another kinect but use the money for better hardware and great exclusives)

I would laugh if 2013 saw the release of neither.....

ps4 has a advantage so far, it could change but so far ps4 up by 7 in the fouth quarter :p
