As we all know, the measure of success is relative to prior performance (is that BS?!?  meh, either way it is a fun way to look at the data).  so I've gathered here a set of "goal post" charts comparing the success of the emerging gen to that of the previous gen.  I'm not going to sit here and lecture you about what the numbers mean, that not my style.  i'll let you carry on your own discussion.  I just wanted to have actual data...  you know, like we did before all the tools were removed from this site. 

I'll update this thread as we get more sales data or have adjustments.  realistically i won't update weekly but i'm going to target monthly updates, maybe a bit more at the launch of MSony's next consoles.

**please note that without the next xbox and playstation it is terribly unfair to pit the wiiU against the entire last gen field.   however, i had the chartz made and if you figure that the market stays roughly the same size gen over gen that these chartz may give some indication how how much sales potential is possible for the next xbox and playstation.   so i decided to include them anyways.
