I hope they do! Or that they find another way to play games =)

You seem to be maintaining a positive outlook....I am convinced that gaming as we know it is going to be ruined within the next 10 years what with mobile phone and tablet gaming on the rise

Things will certainly change, but does that mean it has to be for the worse? What if smartphones and tablets enables you to be able to keep on playing your AAA game on the go in some fashion? You're home playing your Uncharted 8 or Halo 9 or Zelda 27, but have to go down town. So while you're on the bus/train you simply pick up your phone and continue to play?
And there will always be a market for core games; there's just some things you need buttons for ^^

How can I properly be immersed if I am sitting on a train? There is no way that could ever match the immersion of sitting in my living room. It is a small screen with noisy people around me and I want to be able to sit down for at least 30 mins without distraction, but there is no way I am going to manage that on the tube, where I have to worry about when my stop is.
I can see how there might be some interlink, ie, I can do some management on my FIFA career while on the train, or better connectivity for the Vita, but I just don't see any use of any devices without buttons for anything other than casual gaming. I have both a tablet and a phone, on my phone, I only have the free game that Sony just gave away on PSM, but haven't played it. On my tablet, I have a few, but I never play them apart from Monopoly which is drastically inferior to proper Monopoly
