Not sure I'm too fond of mine yet, but it's only been 2 days and I can't get any of the PS+ games because PSN is down right now :[

Without owning a vita people can't speak, I'm yet to meet someone who owns one and doesn't like it and people that try to say they have one and don't like it are just trolls.

The problem is just that. People don't have it cause they didn't buy it. It's a great system sure, but it lacks the mass consumer appeal.

That's a problem Sony needs to fix ASAP.

What's with all that "if you don't own a PSV you can't voice your opinions", bug off!
It reminds me of some of the previous version of VGC when you had tags to show which system you had games for, and then your opinion wouldn't count if you were a 'fan' of the 'other' system -.-
What if one is a PS3 user/fan and feels that the PS4 can turn into a bad product because PSV is draining resources, and efforts of Sony and 3rd parties, isn't that a legitimate position?

We are on a sales site and how a device performs is subject to debate whether you have the device or not. Yes, PSV has got a lot of attacks, probably the one that have received the most, that's why some people feel like exiles in the official thread, but WiiU will probably receive some too. But, what, this is the internet and you just be better than the troll.

Sorry for the off-topic but just felt like saying that. Now, regarding the OP, I don't think that it was a bad idea for Sony to introduce the PSP nor the PSV. It's pretty much what Nintendo is doing now, they want the 3DS to completely dominate the entire market being quite aggressive. What kept Nintendo afloat in the N64, and GC eras, was the GameBoy devices. Sony saw another market to expand and went for it. Yes PSV is being poorly managed, and they probably could've done many things different, but it's quite silly to state those errors now that the PSV is in the market. Weren't most of the features, prices, and upcoming games welcomed by fans and experts?

The way I see it to these people who say "But the Vita is amazing! It's sooooo much better than crappy 3DS in every way!" Well ok, in terms of specs etc, that may be true, but apparently just like me, the wider world doesn't care.

The 3DS is awesome as it is. It's just (IMHO, of course) a fantastic handheld console that I can't get enough of.

Also, the Vitas big let down here as people claim is the price. Well here in the UK there were lots of bundles of the Vita for cheaper than 3DS. Surprisingly cheap. I really am beginning to think price isn't the biggest deal-breaker here. I have no idea what should be done about the Vita and ultimately, I don't care. I'm just constantly irritated by proclamations of how amazing PS is and how Nintendo "only" sells more because of this, that and the other.

Who the hell are you talking about with that ? I don't see even one of these people in this thread.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

They need to get more third party developers on board. Then Sony won't have to make their first party studios do all the work.

@Gnac - precisely. Thanks :)

I'm glad they made it Sony needs to just get off its' ass and make some games for it.

I absolutely agree with the OP. I don't think the Vita is a bad device. In fact, I wish my 3DS had the Vita's screen size and resolution instead of the 3D effect any day. But the Vita is a very niche device in today's market, and the fact that Sony would even attempt such a thing right now is baffling when they absolutely should be prioritizing what they do best - home consoles.
