Forums - Nintendo - SAME DAY:Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon-Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

Delayed last year, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon was postponed to a vague “Spring 2013” timeslot. Dark Moon marks one of the most hotly anticipated titles of the handheld’s 2013 lineup. It is most welcome then, that today Nintendo announced a firm date of March 24. The game begins where the 2001 original left off - a frightened Italian plumber gone ghostbusting - and develops on those basics. Dark Moon hopes to lengthen and develop the gameplay, environments, enemy variety, mission design and collectibles for something entirely fresh.

No word on a demo yet, or if the release date applies to Europe and Australia, but more on this will develop. The date coincides with the release of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity.

Around the Network

I really hope this luigi's mansion game turns out fun. I loved the original, but almost all of the atmosphere and fun of the original was discovering this huge mansion's secrets and bit by bit traversing the entire space. This new game has "multiple" mansions and I fear that it won't portray the same feeling I had from the original.

Anyways, glad there's finally a release date!

Seriously, if it wasn't mid January already I'd publicly proclaim the release of a 3DS Lite in March. There's just so much stuff coming out from February to April it would be the perfect time for a "relaunch" of the system. Also, a redesign is overdue:

2004 - DS Phat
2005 - GB Micro
2006 - DS Lite, Wii
2008 - DSi
2011 - 3DS (pushed back from original 2010 release)
2012 - Wii U

What's their hardware division doing? Playing Pokémon all day? It's time for a redesign that increases demand in the system and reduces production costs
