Maybe people really do like the $99 w/sub deal. I wouldn't mind the next consoles doing something that. $200 at launch w/ 2-year LIVE and/or PS+ subs.

Hopefully PS3 numbers show something similar. Would be nice to get some good news for the industry instead of the current gloom.

Wow, IDC's figure of 76.0 million by end of 2012 was pretty close.

That means the PS3 only has to have shipped a record 8-9 million in one quarter in a slow year to make their PS3 figure of 77.0 million shipped accurate haha...

Me thinks they are still way off. Sony didn't release shipment figures for PS3 last quarter, and if they don't again this quarter, me thinks this means they not doing so good. Me. Me. ME!

Around 6 million for PS3 is pretty safe bet. Maybe 5.5 million. Last year they did 6.5 million and in US and Japan combined they were down about 750k this year. Europe with its 12gb model is the question mark. Down, flat or sligthly up? Good numbers for MS as usual.
