Not really, though I prefer Sony's IPs by far I always had practically equal trophies to achievements. As there is an online converter of trophies to achievements. Though if I tend to prefer buying a lot of multiplats for PS3 and prefer trophies. And surprisingly almost all my friends and family that game own both or play primarily on PS3. Kind of a surprise for America.

Interesting...Im yet to build up a collection of games on my 360 since getting one, I do however have a huge collection of ps3 games. Just to name a few games that I've struggled to complete over the years are.....Star Ocean 4, Black ops 2, Crysis 2, Resonance of Fate, Infamous 2, RE5, Darksiders, Deadspace 2, Warhammer 40k. Most these games I got off Ps+ So I didn't feel bad about not completing them. Star Ocean 4 and BO2 tho were huge disappointments as for Resonance of Fate I think I more just got distracted with other games.

Im the same as you on this i always get multiplatform games for 360 because its just more fun and i care about my achv more than trophies ive got over 57000 ac points i dont even know how many trophies ive got .Plus the controller on the 360 is far better for fps and tps .

I have a lot more 360 games then ps3 games because I tend to buy all the multiplats on the 360. However, i probably complete more games on the ps3. Both my libraries are half finished at best though... I buy way more games then i have time to play... People on here that say they have bought 50 games in a year... How on earth can you find time to play that many?

I have tht same problem. I like the ps3. And i finish the games. I just dont go back to them once im done. I play all multi plats on x360.

ehhh, Well i dont like it.  It's ok though I still am competing against my friend in trophies.  He is level 13 and Im 12.  Just wish i knew how much i need to catch up to him.

I own both, and I tend to play games on Xbox because most of my friends own an Xbox. Also, the Xbox versions of multiplatform games tend to be cheaper. At least on sites like Amazon.

Yea, I think you nailed it with this. It's natural for people to prefer the system they already invested time into or the one you have more friends in to compete with you or atleast acknowledge your accomplishments.

On the achievement and trophy side Microsoft's is number based. Achievements have numbers and there are a number of achievements for each game and each person has earned a number of achievements making it a stat person's dream. Trophies, are first categorized to medals which makes it different. You can still do numbers with them but it seems unnatural.

I play my 360 more. My biggest beef with the PS3 is the updates. It is demoralizing when you are excited to play a game to turn the device on, watch it do yet another firmware upgrade, then proceed to do a 500 mb game update.

I have a great internet connection, but, it still takes 15-20 mins to get into a game on my PS3 since I don't use it often. I can just imagine how casual gamers and "not as core" gamers feel about that. Yes, I should probably play it more, but that shouldn't be a requirement to enjoy the system.

Actually, the opposite! I have almost 100 PS3 games, and only like 20 I haven't beaten. on Xbox, however, I have 45 games (about half), and 25 games I've never played, including all three Dragon Age games (1, 2, and awakening), both fable games, the first two mass effect games, both bioshock games, Bayonetta, the lost planet games, the viva Pinata games,etc.

Why? because I don't trust my Xbox. every time I play my Xbox, it makes a loud grinding sound and it sounds like it's about to shatter my disc. it's been like this for years, but it's never impacted my gaming or anything, I'm just scared it will. I'm scared that if I use the system too often it WILL break on me, and the fact that this is my second Xbox doesn't help (first one red-ringed).

Another reason is that I hate Xbox Live. I used to pay for it, but then they started forcing ads on you, and I got steam, so I came to realize that, you know what? Fuck microsoft. I don't pay for PSN, and it gives me all the features I need to play my online games and it goes fast enough for me. I don't pay steam monthly and that gives me a greatly superior online service than Xbox Live. I'm not paying them for basically nothing when I can get what I want free of charge elsewhere. plus I don't play multiplayer online that much, so there's no reason to pay for it.

I just really don't like the idea of having entire portions of a game blocked out unless I pay MORE for it. that makes games a better deal on PS3, knowing I don't have to pay extra.

Plus I find my PS3 more reliable, and I'm a cinephile, so I have a tonne of Blu-Ray movies and no blu ray player other than my PS3! I hate to give in to marketing, but it really does do everything, for me anyway. my Xbox is unreliable, lacking in features, and costs more per year thanks to XBL. so yeah. I prefer PS3 for many good reasons.
