Do you really have to wait 2 minutes to go on line for COD4 on PS3? Or do you mean it seems like 2 minutes?

In terms of overall experience, I'd say the 360 gets the nod purely because there are more people playing online. Thus, instead of waiting 2 minutes to get into a game like my mate does, I get in instantly. |
either that is a lie or your mate has crappy internet connection, i could get in instantly even in 3 in the morning in my ps3, been doing so these past 4 days.

What contract?? Since when do developers sign contracts for multiplatform release. Or are you saying that Sony is paying R* to hold the 360 version until the PS3 one is done? Either way both are very unlikely |

Nope. Rockstar tried initiating contact with Sony about exclusivity but at the time, Kutaragi wasn't accepting deals from Western developers for the PS3. So, Rockstar called Microsoft and it took off from there.
It was a pretty big deal at the time and there was a long article talking about Kutaragi's blunders with Western developers right around the time the PS3 launched.

Heres a link to backup what i said.. http://adultgamingenthusiasts.com/blogs/age/archive/2007/07/30/sony-gets-exlusive-rock-star-game-in-exchange-of-gta-iv.aspx
Sony just made a potentially key move in the console wars, shoring up the exclusive rights to Rockstar Games' next big franchise. Nothing is known about the new game at this time, however. Also, SCEA's Jack Tretton revealed that "they let Rockstar out of the exclusive" for GTA IV "in exchange" for this.
heres another video interview.. look for it.. http://www.gametrailers.com/gamehead.php
sony let rockstar out the deal as i stated before... Ms stepped in and bought exclusive downloadable content... i dont know why people are so misinformed on this...

Then what about this? There's also a lot of this information going around, and it's a lot older than July of 2007, ove a year after GTA went multiplatform.
Sorry, but I don't trust a word Jack Tretton says. He's proven himself to be a mix of idiocy and sliminess that I don't particularly care for.

"Grand Theft Auto IV -- Peter Moore shocked the world at E3 last May when he announced that GTAIV would appear day-and-date on Xbox 360 and PS3. Months later, Newsweek reported that Take Two had wanted to continue its long-standing practice of giving Sony a lengthy timed exclusivity on the game, but they didn't want it.
Newsweek says that former Sony Computer Entertainment president Ken Kutaragi's "radio silence" on the issue left Sony's American execs without the authority to make deals, and nothing happened. Same with..."

How is letting gta iv... GTA IV!..... GTA IV!!!!!! (ok you get my point) How is letting GTA IV go multiplatform a key move??
It's like Sony PR shovels crap right into your mouth and you just open up wide and eat it up.
Loosing one of the biggest exclusive is not a key move. They traded GTA IV for an unknown unproven game? Am I the only one who thinks thats insane?

No, it's perfectly logical.
In tomorrow's news, I expect Nintendo to sell the SSBB property and Game Arts to Microsoft for a bag of Funyuns and a 1995 Sidewinder controller in a key move, citing "we need to clean house and lose some excess baggage" in their reasons for doing so.
