New PlayStation Move Design Discovered In Latest Sony Patent

With all the hoopla surrounding next gen systems, it seems that Sony may not be done with its current gen peripheral, the PlayStation Move.

A recent patent filed by the conglomerate reveals a sharp new design for the peripheral that could provide gamers with a better handle on the Move wands.

The design features a slick new handle as well as a more accessible button layout. I’m no fan of motion tech in video games but I’d have to admit that this design looks pretty attractive when compared to the current one.

Soccer, or should we say,  football  fans may get a kick out of this.  Attach two Move wands to your ankles and you’ll be shooting for goals just like David Beckham, only in the comfort of your living room.  Just make sure you’ve got a cushy surface to land on first or this idea could prove to be a dangerous one.

Do the "balls" on the controller have to be so big? LOL. It's one of the off-putting things about the Move and what makes it look kinda silly.

But I like it as a controller, I actually hope Sony makes a break-apart Move Dual Shock as the standard controller for the PS4 (as long as it has all the proper buttons/sticks of course).

Uh, aren't these the original designs for the move? The ones that they moved away from.

(By the way, flip Figure 3A vertically, and it looks very......suggestive)

Now all we need is to find out about the POWERFUL next gen PlayStation Eye

Now Sony just has find out how to make the move controller look less ridiculous. Why do they even need these ugly balls? If the new PSEye is as good as some rumors say and can track finger movements, why would it still feature those?

:D Good one^^

@ Figure 21...

Number of people who would attempt that: more than anticipated

% of people who would cause some kind of injury or breakage around them by doing that: close to 100%

There's a bit of a limitation with 1:1 motion controls, in that people who attempt this might THINK they look like figure 21, but to other people looking, they probably see it more as the QWOP guy...

for all those who are complaining about the ball, thats what makes the thing work so dame well, thats what the PS eye tracks, no different than the balls they use to put on people filming CG heavy movies; Avatar. I think so. I rather have a weird looking controller that works than one that looks like a remote but doesnt, looking at you wiimote.

So now its a double sided phallic object!

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
