Ninja Theory has warned consumers against being misled by fake reviews of the soon to be released DmC Devil May Cry.

It appears that reviews of the game have appeared online giving it a bad score, despite the reviewers having never played it. “Happy that no genuine review has been under 89% so far,” the developer posted on twitter. It was later revealed that tweet referred to “some reviews where the writer hasn’t received review code and not even played the game.”
“Genuine review = one where the reviewer has actually played the game. Sometimes people make up reviews without actually playing the game,” the developer added.

Your thread titles says Ninja Theory is saying that all bad reviews are fake, but the content of the thread says they are warning people that bad reviews by those who have yet to play the game are fake.

How are they going to decide that? That can be said about any review

This. Can't blame Ninja Theory for being defensive, anyone here would if they got an opportunity to remake on one of the biggest hack n slash franchises ever.People are out of hand. So far we've been seeing great scores because Ninja Theory is a very good developer, just very underrated because they tend to put story over gameplay. If they can learn to balance gameplay with story after this they could probably go toe to toe with God of War and Castlevania now.

Any DMC by Ninja Theory is a fake one.

Maybe because the game isn't out yet and they know who they sent review copies to. The reviews they are talking about are coming from punks who don't have the game are are trashing it. They are talking about revies from either wannabe websites looking for hits or fantard punks that hate it because Dante has black hair. Ninja Theory probably made all the legit review sites sign embargo contracts so they know any that jump out before the embargo lifts are fake.

Reviews copies are sent out to the press.
