i love this phone... i really want to buy it... now that sony is more open to custom FW, samsung is no more for me.
the apple coment in the OP is not necessary, i dont see much people switching from iOS to android.

Looks nice, but it won't outdo Samsung (biggest phone maker) or Apple (2nd).

Sony needs to put out a Nexus style phone. Samsung's biggest win is that it is available everywhere on every carrier and typically does good sales. Sony does not do this. This is why Samsung took the #1 spot from Apple. This and Samsung's willingness to put out a Nexus device is why I have a Galaxy Nexus right now.

ha thats an easy one with Sony.. they are always extremly slow or just don't bother to update the Android version when a new version is out.. they haven't even updated to 4.1 while that was out in JULY 2012.. they are expecting it this february... and yes in the meantime 4.2 is out but Sony isn't aware of that..

atleast Sony does put out the new android versions for most of it's phones, while Samsung only supports the top models

and Sony supports the custom firmware community pretty well
