No but, this year PS360 are well if you consider the games to be released. Unless we know about Doom 4 and more news about watch dogs, it would force us to think about next gen.

could be but i doubt we'll see a PS4 release this yr. the way things are looking. as for MS 1 can never tell. Sony nore MS have been able to keep leaks from happening of this level this well.

a Vita price cut likely GDC(which means i lose sig control to A.P.D.), which PS4 annoucment after E3 maybe.

i can see a 2014 launch for both consoles. there's still time.

I suspect that either...
1. Sony/MS started developing their new consoles later than Nintendo.
Or...
2. They saw that their sales on the last generation consoles were still doing good and they didn't want to mess with that yet.

No, because the timelines for launch were set 2-3 years ago, that is how long silicon development took and launch will coincide with when the chips are ready. Which is late 2013/early 2014 for 720 and 2014 for PS4 according to S|A.

Rumour is that they rebid halfway through the process. PS4 because Intel's Larrabee didn't deliver and 720 because IBM didn't deliver. Now it's all-AMD in both consoles.

Maybe they don't care about Wii U since it's 7th gen.

Both Sony and MS aready said that WiiU won't change any plan of theirs regarding the release date of their new consoles.

As others have said they will announce earlier than E3 and release this fall IMO.

I kind of like that there won't be a whole year and a half of build-up. I'm tired of the video game industry announcing things years before they come out.

Do it like Apple, they announced the iPhone 5 and started selling it a month later lol
