I suspect with this being the first big Nintendo game coming out for the system (after the 2 launch games of course) it could very well do better than its predecessors. I am a long term Nintendo fan but have never taken the time to purchase and/or play a Pikmin game - but plan to pick this one up launch week if not launch day, because of two things 1) Videos and screens I've seen of the graphics and art style (just beautiful) and 2) The mini-game in Nintendo land, if the big game is anything like that I'm sold.

I voted for 1.75+ just as a conservative prediction, that would mean a little more than the original but 2-3 Million or more would not surprise me, especially if it has some good legs like a lot of Nintendo games can.

It'll do fine, better than the previous versions but nothing massive.

I have never made a sales joke in my life.

 

People will be clamoring for something big by then. It will do well globally. These are different times than when GC was in third place. Different system as well.

People will be clamoring for a new title but I doubt that many will find solace in Pikmin. It's not that big of a game.

That's not fair.

Considering your post history, I highly doubt you are a Pikmin fan, so losing the bet wouldn't be as hard on you as it is on him.
