Yeah, do more research or apologize.

But anyway, it sucked. I didn't live in Japan and knew in March 2007 I wouldn't be able to afford one because I was a poor college student.

What?! You mean you didnt get a third job to buy a playstation like kutaragi said?!

No, you only needed two jobs.

Lol, was it only two?  Internet exagerations and time had me thinking three... Still chark, you didnt get a second job to get your playstation

Personally back then I didn't really care about video games. I played them but not nearly as much as I do today.

Casual?

@Thread

Hmm how did i feel
I was in one of the top WoW Guilds so i hadn't that much time for anything else at that time and i think the PS3 wasn't available in the EU yet or had any game i was interested in(MGS4 was the cookie cutter for me)
And i had already a 360 at that time and i was well having fun playing Kameo and J-RPGs and stuff(no shooters) as much as i could in the "raid free time"
So i really didn't care how Sony or the PS3 did at all...It finally got my attention completely like probably a lot of people with the Release of Uncharted 1 or 2.
I think it was around the Uncharted 2 Release after my 1st 360 broke down and my PC made problems where i was full back to the Sony Land,especially after they got all the IPs long time gamers wanted so long.

What i followed at the time was the downfall of gaming and many IPs.
It was probably the fault of Sony it did come to this(you can replace it with trophies if you like) >

If Sony wouldn't have screwed so much up this could have never happened....The casualasation of everything we loved.
We went from complete skill based shooters like UT,Quake,PK,CS,RTCW and other stuff to Console FPS and CoD.
If Sony would have been around with the PS3 from the 1st second with its usual "power" it had in the last Gens it could have never come to this cause Microsoft would have never got more than 1 foot into the console sector.They would have pulled a 2nd Xbox1.
Shooters would have stayed on PC mostly and all this what we can see at the picture above would never went through.

Pretty much, The only games I played was Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts and Ratchet and Clank.

The third job is needed only if you want a Vita.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

Oh man back then I was a hardcore Nintendo fan playing my Wii. PS3 was cool and all but no way would I have bought one at that price.

If my memory serves me right. They were actually pretty stoked. This site was over tracking the sales of the console by a wide margin, and the sales of the Xbox 360 were actually under tracked. So it appeared like the PS3 was doing a lot better then what it was doing. The corrections didn't start until early in the new year, and some weeks were even corrected months later. So chances are most of the Sony fans on this site never knew how low those sales actually got, and nobody really bothered to dig them up, because most Sony fans had conceded the point.

Didn't consider myself a PS fan back then, but didn't the PS3 launch in November of that year?
My reaction would have been "the mainsteam doesn't know this thing exists yet".
