We all know how the first half of this year is stacked with major releases, but what are we going to play at the end of this year?

I literally don't know any big name title set for release for the holiday season and that is the season for the truly amazing releases traditionally. Is this because the developers have been working on next gen games and are waiting until E3 when the consoles are revealed? Or is it something else entirely?

I can't wait for E3, it's been too long since the 360 and PS3 came out :(

everyone, including nintendo who's system is already out, is saving announcements for e3. Expect a very competitive show. i can't wait!

Pretty much sums up my thought, the fact that a couple of larger titles have been moved forward on the release schedule should ring a bell for most people. Expect a slew of launch titles for new consoles to be announced at E3.

Games are always announced and advertised a long time beforehand, the simple fact that the fall/winter slate of 2013 is all but void of games of importance speaks volumes.

It's looking like E3 will be the best ever in terms of number of big games.

Nintendo almost never announces anything that's due to appear after E3 before said show, unless it's Pokemon. Or Bayonetta 2, which (if i had to peg a guess) will be for Q3 2013, so you don't get much out of them. For Microsoft, and especially for Sony (who loves to telegraph these things often more than a year in advance) it can only mean new consoles.

Its not the exclusives that I was thinking about being announced but rather the 3rd party releases. Its interesting to know that every big developer/publisher has moved on to the next gen consoles.

Well, yeah. I mean, you've got a good lineup of 3rd party games from publishers for this year, up until the holidays. It's just a huge snarl of NDAs that probably keep them from talking too.
