It is doomed. it might get lucky and sell well enough to make Nintendo some money (as usual).

However, it is doomed to not get the good multiplats. It's not getting even most PS360 ports, it wont get PS4/Xbox3 games.

Nintendo consoles might survive well, but Sony and MS get the best games.

Personal preference does not make Sony and MS having the best games.

If one goes by mediatric, Nintendo has the best games.

@bolded:  Sounds a lot like the Wii in relation to its competition.

Then again, you recently said that the Vita would outsell WiiU lifetime as well...

With a good lineup, Wii U should dominate in 2013. PSP, DS, and Wii sales crashed after the announcement of a successor console. DS and PSP hit a real low after that console released (Wii probably will too). PS3 and 360 should crash in 2013, and I seriously doubt PS4/Nextbox will do much better then the PS360 launches, which paled in comparision to Wii/WiiU. Next year, with dominating WiiU and 3DS sales, Nintendo will own.

Plus Animal Crossing, Dragon Quest VII, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Monster Hunter 4, and a rumored Donkey Kong Land, 3DS will own. Lets see what happens for Wii U come E3.

It's always funny to me how fans perceive there to be some Sony/MS buttbuddyhood alliance when battling the evil Nintendo!

If I was Nintendo, I'd be okay with not having the "best" games (opinion), so long as I have the best sales minus (fact) that one horrendous financial statement.

Time to test Nintendo Cycle again

That cycle didn't exactly exist for the N64 or Gamecube...

Of course Nintendo is doomed.

Even the 3DS is doomed right now while the Vita is on the cusp of a major recovery.

Nintendo will go away and COD will reign. It will be a great day.

The real question is will the casuals buy a new console or stick to their ipad/iphone? I can't see the casual market being sustainable post the wii. With the Wii U not kicking out enough juice to make the most of UE3 or UE4, another question is just how long will it be able to keep up with next gen games and multiplatforms? We've yet to see anything from the Wii U that is its PGR3.

Wii U will sell more than the Wii. Yes.

What isn't doomed in the age of $100 quad-core HD resolution tablets which is what will be here by the time any PS4/Nextbox arrives?

Nintendo has hit a good price point. Any company that believes they can sell another $500-600+ console with a bunch of $70 games and the need for a bunch of new $60 controllers is completely nuts and will end up on their butts.

Also, how on Earth do you know, Sensei that WiiU WON'T be getting future PS3 OR PS4/720 multiplats?  Do you have a crystal ball or something?  This is getting REALLY, REALLY tiresome.  Third parties will do much better on WiiU than Wii; their games will be better, if not up to Sony-MS quantity, at least better than Wii.  Especially in Japan.
