Possible for ps3, not so much for 360 as I think ms will abandon it for 720.

Wii should be at around 101.5m by the end of this year and 103m by the end of 2014 I see PS3 ending up with 95m+, while Wii will be 103-105m. So I don't think it will happen, but there is a slight chance if Sony keeps supporting it well. |
if ps3 ends up getting that close i doubt sony would just leave it there. they'de get the ps3 to scrape past the wii and than they can claim PS3 was the top selling console in the end and they were right all along. no point leaving it between 95-100m when the wii is so close.
I don't think so, the gap for both the 360 and PS3 against the Wii is too large.
Perhaps. But that does NOT mean anything. If you compare sales, Wii is the clear winner of this gen.

Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed...other 3rd party games. The stuff that has always sold Playstation consoles. Other than that there is God of War, The Last of Us, Beyond, Ni no Kuni as some exclusive examples. PS3 is going to keep selling mostly based on existing library though, as we see new games don't boost sales much anymore. |
If Wii's existing libray doesn't sell Wii anymore, (games that have sold 10-20 million), why should PS3's games continue to sell it for years? PS3 still puts up decent numbers because third parties are still cranking out games for it to a large extent. But that can't last much longer as we are now moving on the the next gen and Sony will probably have the PS4 released by 2014 at the latest.
sony have only just stopped selling new ps2's in japan, what have you guy's got against sony, sheesh it's only a frigging console at the end of the day, you guy's are acting like idiots, if the ps3 reaches 110 million what's it to you, realistically the ps3 is the only one that will last as it's got the blu-ray player, the 360 only has DVD playback (im referring to the consoles life after the next gen comes out) while the wii has a cult following, there may have been motion controls before but nintendo brought motion controls to the masses plus nintendo wont stop support for the wii for at least another 10 years (nintendo only stopped support for the nes after a long 23 years in 2008, what make's you think thy'll stop support for the Wii).
id guess at least this time microsoft will continue support for the 360 for at least a year after their next gen console comes out, most of the features that are on the 360 are available through windows 8, windows mobile and various other windows OS.

Well it depends how Sony markets the Ps3 in the 3rd world markets. If they do it again the same they did with Ps2 then yes. But Sony would have won 3 Gens in a row which would be rediculous.
And before I get the no even if Ps3 does outsell Wii in the end the Wii won the gen.. Well no. Who really wins? The won that died before the gen was even done or the one that continues to sell and release games 3 or 4 years into the next.. Pretty obviously the Ps3 would have won. Although once again it depends on what Sony do with it.
