You honestly believe that PS3 will sell nearly 40 million MORE units (roughly 1/3rd of PS3 total sales) after it is over 6 years old?

And what are all these games coming over during 2013 and beyond that will push these 40 million additional units? I don't see too many PS3 games coming out aside from GTAV this year.

Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed...other 3rd party games. The stuff that has always sold Playstation consoles. Other than that there is God of War, The Last of Us, Beyond, Ni no Kuni as some exclusive examples. PS3 is going to keep selling mostly based on existing library though, as we see new games don't boost sales much anymore.

If Wii's existing libray doesn't sell Wii anymore, (games that have sold 10-20 million), why should PS3's games continue to sell it for years? PS3 still puts up decent numbers because third parties are still cranking out games for it to a large extent. But that can't last much longer as we are now moving on the the next gen and Sony will probably have the PS4 released by 2014 at the latest.
