Forums - Gaming - oh my god. 95 % - the best rpg on this generation, its coming.

I've been waiting for 2 years for this game to be released in the west, and the demo did not disappoint.
Day 1 purchase, a shame that the wizards edition is not available in Canada. It will be the best game this gen. Although I might be a bit biased towards studio Ghibli.

Most would argue Demon's Souls to be the best, just throwing that out there :P

But I love how this looks!

fixed :P

No, the original post was correct

I already have a huge backlog but I can't really pass on a game co-produced by the best anime studio of all time...
So I will have to get it...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Artstyle looks like it's for children, which means I am not buying it. I don't watch children cartoons anymore, even if they might have a mature storyline.

I tried the demo and it's not that fun either. :/

Totally trying to hype up the wrong game

Art style is similar to Princess Mononoke and Spirited Way with are two of the highest grossing movies of all time in Japan...

I played the demo, and I found the game kind of good but nothing special. Perhaps I will get the game later after its release.

This thread compelled me to play the demo, and I was impressed right away with the design, and the combat system from the demo.

Things I noticed.

1. If you ever wondered whats it like to play an anime, this game is it.

2. Princess Mononoke art style is a big plus. One of my favorite anime movies. I hope the story can match its look.

3. The combat system is no joke. If you don't think or use some brain power you'll die. Yep, the forest boss one shot me because I was careless.

This is just three things that stand out to me right away from the start. Watch out Square Enix.. Level 5 knows their stuff.

the demo was pretty solid but as i've said this one -character and story wise- is a little too childish even for the standards of "My Neighbor Totoro". the game was originally made for the DS which has a much younger target audience than the ps3 anyway.

One of the few games I'm looking forward to next year. : )
