If you want to take the high road in life and stay classy just burn effegies. It's transcendant and enlightening. Do it to your neighbors while they watch.

I am not a Christian but I do know that many of christian friends are happy with their religion and do not question it. Christianity, as you should probably know, is a faith or belief.
Belief- "confidence in the truth or existence of something not immediately susceptible to rigorous proof"
Honestly it does not really matter if it makes sense or not the Christians just choose to believe it. The religion probably makes them happy or has run in the family for generations. Who are we to force someone to try to change their beliefs. Obviously you have your own beliefs whether they are true or not. The Big Bang is still a theory along with evolution (although these are basically confirmed). Therefore, you choose to believe these are true.
In conclusion, as one South Park episode showed me all -isms are bad including atheism because everyone will still have different beliefs which will lead to conflict.

lol wtf? What is not to believe?
Didn't read. Just because you don't agree in Christianity, or any religion for that matter, does not mean it's polite to bash or try to prove it incorrect.

I don't recall bashing Christianity. In fact, I'm certain that my family being Christian overall has had a positive effect on all of us. Maybe you should read next time.
And I fail to see how pointing out what (to me) seems like an illogical error regarding faith would be impolite. If people don't like that sort of stuff they should just turn away upon reading the thread title.

You use the same arguments to defend convicts as well (rapists, murderers, thieves etc), the good old ''they were influenced by the events in their lives, so they had no control of what those events could lead them into doing'' Bullshit. You can find the examples where the kids from richest families, nicest parents and who had every tool possible for succses in the world still turned out to be complete failures and fuck ups life. And you can also find examples where people from the dirtiest slums of India managed to become successful and respected lawyers, engineers, programmers etc... |
The rich parents spoiled the kid and with no discipline/strictness, he became a loser and couldn't hold his own cause he never had to struggle for anything.
The slum kid probably had noble and modest parents who actually raised him. He saw the poverty his community lived in and decided to better himself against all odds.
Seriously, let's be a litte more creative.

How can people live by just believe?
While we should not force them to get rid of their religion, we can at least make them question it. If you really sit down and look at all the stuff in christianity, the stories, etc, it sounds like some crazy shit.
