Isn't Gears made by a different team?The Bulletstorm team?And aren't Fenix and Dom missing?

God of War on the other side is made by the main Team/big part of it(i know they working on a 2nd title/new IP) they didn't unveal yet)
It will probably push again the limits of console games and old hardware.
Also it will add some new elements to the series without hurting the "numbered" Games and its reputation.

I think you can count God of War as a Real God of War game while the new Gears is just a "money grab spinoff" from fans of the series.

Well Ascension will be a great game for sure ( cant sai anything about Gears of war Judgement because i havent seen one minute of footage right now) but The Last of Us look like high quality too.

Cant understand the hype of GTA 5 to be honest. GTA is some of the stupist game series ever created but thats only my subjective opinion. I have many friends which only buy GTA to drive through the city and kill people, make crash and the dont play the Story. They only do killing people and make some stupid stuff.

The Last of us seems to get more attention because its a new ip plus its coming from Naughty Dog which delivered only goodness this gen. So i undertsnad the hype behind this title.

In terms of salez it will be interesting. Especially because we can realky judge them evenly since they release a week apart.

I look at GoW and Gears as games to play way after the fact. While I am way more hyped for all the other games you mentioned and many others you did not.

Gears became boring to me after the first and God of War is fun, but hack and slash games were never my favorite excluding Ninja Giaden.

Games I'm going to eventually that are coming out in the first half of next year.

Games I will buy at release in the first half of next year? The three that have the best pre order bonuses. If its anything like multiplayer xp or map packs then I'm not interested. Single player missions or weapons will win me over. If none of them have good pre order stuff ill buy GoW, Last of us, and GTA5 since they will sell the best out of those and will be the least discounted come BF while I will buy the rest BF as ps4 will be on the Christmas list most likely.

God of War Ascension isn't doing too bad in pre orders but Gears of War Judgment is doing really bad. There is still time for both of them to gain some momentum but it looks like Gears is taking a big hit with this shoot off.

Both GoW's are depressingly boring looking. The Last of Us is one of the titles I'm really stoked about next year (along with Beyond, Watchdogs and GTAV).

It was only recently that retailers have began taking pre-orders Gears of War: Judgment.
