If Little Big Planet can do it, Nintendo can do it through Mario. Honestly, I often wonder if the reason they don't do this to create burn out and some how erode future profits of 2D Mario's because why spent 60 bucks on a new game when user levels are still flooding the pipelines for free.
User created Mario levels are one the biggest aces up Nintendo's sleeve, imagine the reception the Wii U would have if it launched with it. Such a missed opporunity in retrospect
