You have to think about that:
All the animals we eat were born to be eaten. If noone eats them, they would not be born.

So basically, eating meat doesnt take lives. It gives life.

Might  as well start breeding me some nice Scandanavian ass in my basement eh genius.

I"m really getting fed up with stupidity like this.

You're supposedly German, you're letting your forefathers down with your lack of brains.

Well, technically he is right, at least to some degree: The mass production of meat DOES require a higher-than-natural birth rate to fulfill our needs. But his conclusion...no words.

actually i heard people arguing that way about saving the buffalo

nobody will care to breed buffalo unless they can make a profit. if you want the buffalo to  live, better eat its meat and peole will make sure it will stay alive.

That logic is pure genius. If people wouldn't destroy (or would have destroyed) the natural habitat of the buffalo we wouldn't even need to breed it. I am by no means an animal defendant (I eat so much meat that the vegetarians and vegans in this thread should LOATHE me, but arguments like that are pure propaganda. I enjoy eating meat, but I don't need excuses like that to justify it.

i'm not saying it makes sense, but i hope you realize that blaming the destroying of natural habitats on the "people" includes everyone who occupies space on this earth. if you live in a house, you are claiming some animals natural habitat.

apart from that, the buffalo was almost extinct to hurt people in the first place. they deliberately killed them to force the indians to leave their traditional hunting grounds.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Well after watching the full video BEFORE reading all the comments, it is clear who has watched it and who hasn't as the points raised by these people are answered in the video.

i.e herbivore vs carnivore animals, more than 50% of our food grains used to feed the animals instead of humans etc..

The guy does raise some good points and I got nothing wrong with him. He even showed some meat replacements products that taste like meat. Saying that I have never seen them in my local supermarkets so can't comment how they taste.

I will however still continue eating meat until the day one of these other alternatives tastes as good as meat and is easy to buy as it is to get a cut of meat.

All the animal cruelty parts in that video has been seen my many people before via news channels. Sure what they do is wrong but I don't think everyone treats the animals that way. I would support tougher laws on idiots.

FINALLY it is good to see how guns are so brainwashed into american culture as a thread about food had to have SOMEONE bring up guns to shoot animals lol.

Coming from someone who is mostly vegeterian when I visit my mother no meat substitute tastes like real meat. The closest there is, if you are in thr chicagoland area, is eating at chicago diner. That is just another lie the man told you.

What if I flipped the argument that vegetables are disgusting and you killing plants is horrible. It would work the same way. Pointless to argue. Mistreating animals is wrong. But eating them isn't. We'll stop once we figure out how to replicate meat. Then animals won't be killed anymore. Would you complain if we gew muscle tissue? Or if the animal grew with no brain? If animals don't want to be eaten. They invent guns. Or evolve to be bullet proof. Go complain to old man waterfall.

shhhh, they dont want people knowing this. I was a veggie eater for 9 months. Reason I stopped? burning a hole in my wallet. But I know peoplee who got sick not eating meat and the doc told them they needed to start eating meat.

I don't know how you are finding this remotely convincing. All he's doing is ranting. His line about how since animals see with their eyes and hear with their ears makes them self-aware and conscious is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. Nobody says the animal brain isn't functioning normally. Being self-aware and conscious is not a "normal" thing, it's a human thing.

And then a few minutes later he said "could care less" and I gave up entirely.

I gave up entirely after he called meat an addiction.

It's funny. Your going on about meat eating being wron g. Yet you arent aware how your actions here are just as wrong if not more so. At least the people who are for eating meat can have a civil discussion.

Breakfast is the only meal I eat without meat, I want to be strong and healthy so I will continue to eat eggs, drink milk and eat fish, beef and chicken, no pro vegen crap will stop me from doing so.
