Well breeding dogs for pets. I can understand doing it for protection, herd dogs, work dogs, search dogs or hunting dogs... But I agree with yourpost and the irony that the OP is fine with owning a dog is hilarious. He has a real bad habit of projecting human emotions onto animals. I just find it funny how mentally weak modern people are to stuff like that in general especially if you look at the comment section lol. Yeah it was a little disgusting, but it didn't bother me too much, people just like to think they are better and more civilised than the past, but we really aren't. But we people today could learn some things from the native tribes ways, they used every part of the animal pretty much and got a wide range of uses. skins for clothing, meat for food etc.

"Why do we eat meat?" Because we're omnivores and meat provides the most energy per cost. Not everybody can afford only vegetables and fruits imported from thousands of miles away, but meat is relatively cheap when you have farms down the road. There's nothing wrong with the natural order of things, and I won't feel guilty for eating meat because some people in a food factory treated the animal poorly nor because a vegetarian has some moral superiority-complex. Nope. Furthermore it takes a lot of education and knowledge of nutritional sciences to become a healthy vegetarian/vegan, most people don't have the patience nor the capacity to do such.

My comments have been mostly directed at your projecting human thought and emotions on to animals. Your first said your dog cares about you  and if I had a dog i would know that... well I don't have a dog anymore but I had a doberman and now I have 3 cats. I love my cats they are friendly. But the only reason they care at all is because A. our ancestors made them. and B. they know where their food comes from. Animals aren't capable of higher thought that you make them out to have. They have basic desires and instincts such as reproducing and surviving. My comment about the wolves was because you asked why your dog cares about you but at one point yor dog was just like those wolves. They didn't once sa "we like humans lets live alonside them" we broke them like the animals they were to not care about being wild beasts anymore. You support breeding animals as pets but not food? That's very hypocritical. A pet is just a slave to keep you happy. Nothing more. As for the Disney comments is because your comments really have a tone that you think to the contrary of my above statements. You make it seem like animals have a higher thought process... therefore I brought it to an extreme. You said they once had friends, well I'm sorry but the only time I saw animals being all chummy with each other is in a Disney movie.

You see it walking into the area willingly. It wasn't tasered. The cow wasn't kicking and screaming like the OP said. If cows kicked and screamed the entire time like the OP thinks then the slaughter process would be very ineffective. Have you tried making a 1,000 pound beast do something it refuses to do? Fuck it was hard to get my 50 pound dog to stop if it wanted to run in one direction.
