I would have guessed Mario Kart is the better seller and system mover.  Or at least that was the case with Wii it seemed.

I think he's right but he is probably excluding Mario Kart, Because Mario Kart Wii ALONE!!!, has more sales than mario party (all) combined

Does Game & Wario count as a Mario spinoff? Wario was originally a Mario character. It got a spinoff game in Wario Land, sort of established itself as a separate series, and got its own spinoff in the WarioWare series. So we're looking at either a spinoff of a spinoff or a spinoff of a spinoff of a spinoff in Game & Wario.

The OP didn't include Mario Kart so I left that out. On a related note I'd even argue Mario Kart is an IP of its own - just think of it Mario Kart outsold the "mainline" games during the N64 and GC era and Mario Kart Wii outsold New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It's pretty crazy...

If i including MK on the polls 99% would of been toward it lol! Yea its crazy how MK sells more than certain Mario games! MK Wii is the most selling game in the past 2 decades! (not including wii sports)
