Day of The Tentacle is the best for me and it's also the classic that has aged the better with its cartoony graphics.

But point&click games seem to regain some popularity on PC now with Broken Sword 4, Runaway 2, Sam & Max Season 1 that are quite good. (BS4 might be budget in your area)

Even better games are expected in 2008 but the one that stands out for me is A Vampyre Story

they are getting a lot of steam--i think the ds has been getting a few

Leisure Suit Larry is okay, a bit dated for me, and I can't stand the guy.

Has the DS got any point and click games? Monkey Island would be awesome on it!

i think it is getting abig one called runaway or something--there was a blip in nintendo power about them remaking it for teh controls

If you have access to the original discs, you can use some of the recreated engines to get these running.

Though, if you think Monkey Island has terrible graphics, you are going to hate a lot of these games.

If you have what it takes to use homebrew on your DS, there is a version of SCUMMVM available that allows you to play perfectly old Lucasarts games and others (Beneath a Clear Sky, Simon the Sorcerer)

Some games are on the public domain if you don't own them. If you have the CD version of Day of The Tentacle, you can have a full-talky adventure game on your DS!

OT: don't forget about Goblins series. I think it's the closest thing to Zack & Wiki. Great humor... and those puzzles.
PC has many great point and click games in it's library. We can just go on and on with titles :)

OT, the latest game of that kind that comes to mind for me is Zack and WIki, but thts on the wii. umm.. The Myst series has always stood out for me.

First things first. The Graphics in Monkey Island 1 aren't crap! They have a great style and still hold up today.

Secondly, you can probably find a copy of the Duckman game for PC somewhere on the internet.
