I agree.  In Japan, they're just not gonna have a choice.  With 3DS thriving, Vita stillborn, and PS4 still a ways off, the Wii U should be in good shape.

In addition, too, the PS3 isn't going to last forever, and nobody in Japan is going to want to bother with MS's hardware.  If anything, I wonder if PS4 will even have a chance in Japan by the time Nintendo captures much of the audience.

Still, their opening week in Japan is VERY reassuring that we'll see the likes of FINAL FANTASY, RESIDENT EVIL, METAL GEAR SOLID, KINGDOM HEARTS, and other franchises in the near future (I'm excluding REVERGENACE because the folks behind it said they wanted to do something unique with MGS for WiiU... whatever that is.)

Wii U had multiplatform support since day one. However, I do expect the holiday season to be the time in which Wii U receives the most support. Battlefield 4 on Wii U has been strongly hinted at for months now. Until then, I don't expect too many huge releases. Downloadable games like The Cave, however, could make their way over.

Yet you keep creating these same topics. Why does it really interest you if you don't have a wii u and probably have no intention of buying one? Certainly for me it would be a concern but the majority of games I like will be present and accounted for when all this is over. You obviously get some kind of thrill from this but there will be games on wii u that the others don't get.

Should I make topics about how 'worrying' it is that nintendo have stolen bayonetta 2 from microsoft and sony?

Maybe the issue is that porting isn't as easy as people are assuming. If the Wii U was genuinely an easy machine to port to, I.E. get a shipping version in couple of weeks and then improve if you have time then this thread wouldn't exist.
