Forums - Gaming - Blizzard still exploring console options for Diablo 3

VG247

While Diablo 3 is running on unspecified consoles internally within Blizzard, it’s not ready to release any further information on console plans for the game.

Polygon was told by Blizzard excutive Rob Pardo that options are still being explored. “We’ve got builds up and running on it. We’re hoping to get it far enough along where we can make it an official project, but we’re not quite ready to release stuff about it, but it’s looking pretty cool.”

Jay Wilson, lead designer on Diablo 3, commented that Blizzard is still exploring console options to expand and add onto the game. “The whole team is essentially working on the next big Diablo thing, a lot of that stuff will show up next year at some point.”

Blizzard has also mentioned plans for an expansion for Diablo 3 but has not disclosed a date.

Diablo 3 on consoles will happen... But not until they release the expansion for the game...

I want it on a certain handheld...

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I remember playing diablo 1 on the playstation years ago. It worked great and was suprised that number 2 didn't make it to the ps2.

I don't care about this genre of game, but a Wii U (or Vita) version could probably work well.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

I would never want to play this game without a mouse and keyboard, but I'm all for consoles getting the port. For anyone looking for the best experience, I would definitely not recommend waiting for the console release. It's not like the PC game has high system reqs.

next gen launch title for nextbox calling it now

dude, good point.  Why was this not a wii u launch title?  Pretty much straight port...

It'd be great on consoles and actually some of the classes like Monk might play even better. I would enjoy gamepad support!

Tease.

i think i would like it better than mouse and keyboard
