want to bet on it? I say nintendo misses their 5.5M shipment figures by March 2013 thus selling below expectations. 1 month of avatar contol? |
He wont take you up on it, he is to busy blaming everyone else for Nintnedo's problems.

I thought bets were outlawed? Or at least I think they were at some point.
I'm just not ready to make a claim they won't match their shipment projection with just 2 weeks of US sales, 1 week or Euro sales, and weekend Japanese launch sales. I'd like a little bigger sample size to work with than that. And I'd hope that being on a sales website that most of us would feel that same way.

I didn't blame anyone else. I merely gave possible altenratives based on the context of the whoel industry, the state of affairs in Japan and historical factors. AND even stated that it could very well be Nintendo's issue but I simply think it's outrageous to claim that is the sole fault.

You are blaming everyone else: Patcher doom, not getting into mobile, stock market speculators, the Yen. I dont see Nintendo's lack of execution these past 3 years (the Wii's late swoon, 3DS and its year of losses after its massive price cut, Wii U selling below wii levels) in any of your writings so far in this thread.

1. I think only ban bets are outlawed.
2. what's the fun of a bet where you have enough data to know the outcome with high confidence? it's now or never cause really, a bet like this should have been made before getting even the first week launch numbers. :P

Just going to requiote myself.
| Viper1 said: I'm not implying the sales are strong at all. What I am saying is that blaming it solely on the sales ignores many other factors that were already at work dropping the price. The strong Yen has been hammering it, and other companies, for a while now. ALL these are to blame. Saying it's just sales makes little sense given that Nintendo never gave investors a launch projection to evven work with. |
My first sentence and last 2 sentences imply the sales could be a factor just the same. But my overall point is that many of you are blaming it on just the sales with none of the other possibilities I presented despite it being logical that ALL of them are playing a part in the why of it all.

Nintendo is definitely undervalued right now for anyone looking to go in. Yes the wii u is under performing and the 3ds is not doing so hot but even with the company's issues it still not THAT bad. The company owns the most iconic video game character in the world that will always sell boatloads. If Nintendo is really doomed with the console sales it still has the option to bring its games to the mobile platform and generate some serious dough. of course that is the worst case scenario and will likely not happen in the near future since Nintendo doing decent. Still it adds safety to the stock.

How do you know it's not? |
..because. you've been back in this thread but conviently ignored my post and bet. i submit that as positive proof that you don't believe that wiiU is selling as expected.

I'm not a fish...save your bait.
I don't take your bet because I don't bet on data that's barely a week old. Would you have made a bet that Vita would sell great given it's launch figures? Because you're making the opposite bet now based on similar launch figures.
