Care to elaborate?

well you've seen the early numbers same and ethomaz and I. no one can be sure at this point with 100% certainly but i don't think nintendo are on track to meet their expectations of 5.5M wiiU by March. So i'll explain it as best I can...
want to bet on it? I say nintendo misses their 5.5M shipment figures by March 2013 thus selling below expectations. 1 month of avatar contol?

He wont take you up on it, he is to busy blaming everyone else for Nintnedo's problems.
|
I didn't blame anyone else. I merely gave possible altenratives based on the context of the whoel industry, the state of affairs in Japan and historical factors. AND even stated that it could very well be Nintendo's issue but I simply think it's outrageous to claim that is the sole fault.
|
You are blaming everyone else: Patcher doom, not getting into mobile, stock market speculators, the Yen. I dont see Nintendo's lack of execution these past 3 years (the Wii's late swoon, 3DS and its year of losses after its massive price cut, Wii U selling below wii levels) in any of your writings so far in this thread.

Just going to requiote myself.

I'm not implying the sales are strong at all. What I am saying is that blaming it solely on the sales ignores many other factors that were already at work dropping the price.
The strong Yen has been hammering it, and other companies, for a while now. Pachter has been harsh on Nintendo in the past but to flat out state at the Game Monetization Summit just a few days ago that Nintendo is irrlevant would have a huge imapct. Continued correction of the overinvestment spike by the DS and Wii rush. Continued downtrend from the investor speculation that Nintendo would fully back mobile.
ALL these are to blame. Saying it's just sales makes little sense given that Nintendo never gave investors a launch projection to evven work with.

My first sentence and last 2 sentences imply the sales could be a factor just the same. But my overall point is that many of you are blaming it on just the sales with none of the other possibilities I presented despite it being logical that ALL of them are playing a part in the why of it all.
