looks very good but how long will a game like that take to develop? how much play time can I out of a game developed in two/three years with 200 workers?

I don't want to play shorter games for the sake of graphics but if they can do them big I'm all for it!

I think Zelda would be weird looking like that honestly...

I'm with you 100%. Playing games that's only 10-12 hours long is plain wrong. That's one of the reasons I don't find Halo attractive; my brother played through the whole single campaign in 8-10 hours, but to really get the whole experience you have to pay to play online. But that's a whole different story and thread!

I would't like Zelda to look like that either, but having the same graphics wouldn't hurt. Just change the art style. There's a difference between graphics and art style.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

sure have it more artsy and I'm in!

Haven't completed Halo 4 yet but damn only 8-10 hours? :(

I think I've played about 30mins of it so I have a couple of hours left ^.^ lol

Now i can't wait to see how the actual Zelda will look like on WiiU (not the demo but the actual game)

It doesn't look that much better than the top end PC games

haha but isn't that the definition of next gen consoles?? xD

Well I would hope for some advancements, after all, most PC games are made on console engines and then adjusted. I suppose the Witcher and Crysis games were designed for PC and so look great, but they are getting a bit old now.

What did high end PC games look like when the HD twins came out?

COD 3

Black OPS 2.

Tease.

Yeah, but then he's pretty good at those kind of games...

Yeah, I also wanna see the new Zelda! I liked the art direction of SS, but would like to see it a bit more... darker and grittier as well

I feel like maybe Doom 3 feels around that time.  I see looking at it now it was a 2004 game.  But personally watching a video right now it don't look that much worse than current games, imo.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xj7OY73k3Io

Doom 3 was a way better horror game than any I played this gen.  Man I could only play at small spurts.  I swear they made every freaking enemy be hidding in some shadows waiting to scare the shit out of you.   The longer you go without seeing an enemy the shorter your gaming time lasts, lol.  Suspence just builds.

Zombi U players have it easy.  They can have the flashlight on basically at all times.  Ah and Doom 3, the good ol days before reloading armor.  Much harder.  Hate how you can just hide behind a rock till full health these days.

Yep that looks just about right for current consoles games (and maybe slightly better because I see no aliasing going on)

BTW that guy has an absurdly high sensitivity! o_0

OT: Can't wait for next gen and it's near CGI-like graphics!

Skyrim mod (though, not too good in my opinion on vanilla, maybe with 100 mods)

On serious note, when someone says going photorealistic I don't necessarily see that as art direction, more of a tech path. You can always go slightly neo-surrealistic like this:
