I didn't read the article yet but I give a look at the pictures... the game is better on Wii U but the limited RGB support is killing the colors.

Is this something that can be fixed at console level? or does it have to be done at game per game level?

Also, one other thing Nintendo need to do is add screen resize at OS level (like they have in MiiVerse) as older HDTVs have over scan, so the image is cut of on the sides due to some of the LCD being behind the frame. I could jsut go out and by a new TV i guess, but I am waiting for OLED to become standard, hopefully will nto wait forever lol.

The Trine 2 dev said it's possible to fix that with a patch... well not the limited RGB because it's Nintendo (software or hardware... I don't know) but it can fix the gamma in the game with a patch... so I expect better collor after that patch.

The biggest problem for me with limited RGB is because it can't show full black or full white... all the others collors are fine.

PS. You can try to fix that calibrating your TV too... the problem is calibrate to every game you will play... that's sucks.

Well that's it.

+ Better graphics
+ Same performance

- Bad collors (like others Wii U games)

Same performance as the 360 version, the PS3 version runs the worst it says.

PS3 version runs at the same performance (the video showed both at 30fps) too but it have worst filters.

You're right, they were just talking about almost unnoticable screen tearing on PS3 when they mentioned framerate.

Anyways, nice to see a game that is optimized for Wii U perform just was well with rock steady framerate and locked in resolution.  Love those patches that are coming our way too.

I can't that is how old my tv is and it is only 26inch. All I have is a Zoom ability. Fit to screen options on my tv were unherd of lol.

I also noticeed I am somewhat more blind than I use to be haha, as I can't tell the difference between my team and the enemy on COD anymore. A bigger tv would fix that lol, or perhaps glasses as blurry vision sometimes.

you forgot that the Wii U version includes additional levels and multi-player options not found on the PS360; which adds more to the port than it's rivals.

The colors are going to get fixed, from the comments:

Joel from Frozenbyte here. Great to see this, very nice. Worth of note is that the game actually has a dynamic resolution scaling feature on PS3 and Xbox 360 to keep a steady 30 frames per second. This shows in some levels (e.g. the 11th level Icewarden Keep has a scene in the beginning where this is somewhat visible, if I remember right). On Wii U the resolution is 720p solid.

Just to be clear, we will indeed be updating the "washed out" look. The observation about gamma level is correct, as there was a bug in the game that applied excessive gamma to the final output. It went unnoticed until release but we have now fixed it. So the game will soon look even better (similar in colour to the other versions). We're estimating a mid-December release for the update, give or take a few days, and it will also include support for Wii U Pro Controller, Voice Chat, some languages, and some minor things.

Thanks for all the comments and feedback too, glad to hear you folks are enjoying the game.

Everything on the WiiU is in limited RGB, which is easily 'fixed' by adjusting brightness and contrast on the monitor.

Anyway I still haven't finished the game, got bored halfway through. Maybe it's more fun in co-op. Single player started getting repetitive really soon.

co-op is very fun, especially when one person gets drunk then passes out for 8 hours while not leaving the game while the wizard and archer are forced to duo it until that drunkard got done puking and came back sober to eventually finish the game with us lol.... and that was my trine 2 experience on good ol' steam.

Higher res textures, more foliage, locked 720p versus dynamic 720p-and-below on PS3/360; looks like someone is finally taking advantage of the U's larger memory.
