Uncharted 3 hasn't actualy reached gears 3 nos. And it has only been sold for like 1 year, it can't really be called mass bundled yet.

Uncharted 3 has sold about a million units since the bundling began and its going to continue. I consider that mass bundling.

Uncharted 3's holiday bundles will cease soon. It wasn't even mass bundling with it, let alone without it. But how comenoody addresses the real issue here - what is wrong with bundling a title? Gears 3 was bundled, Uncharted 3 is bundled. Where's the problem?

The problem is their ridiculous insecurities towards nothing but stupid trivialities. Somehow, their favorite titles wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable to them if they didn't achieve some kind of supremacy over those from a competing console. Because they can only be fully enjoyed if they achieve that. -_-

Its mass bundled vs not mass bundled. Simple as that.

You too are thinking too hard. The OP never made a call that Uncharted 3 was as popular as Gears 3. You, and a few others, then proceed to toss out "mass bundling", but minimize any kind of bundling Gears 3. Then, with all things considered, only want to call out one group of fans.

The double standards are piercing, to say the least.

A sale is a sale, bundled or not.

There was a smiliar thread to this comparing the franchises, I think it carried over when we realized it was a duplicate thread.

I hope you have better examples than the Gears 3 Limited Edition bundle.

Sure thing, when you can tell us, without a shadow of a doubt, how much bundling has helped Uncharted 3. Percentages, data, figures - all are acceptable if they are concrete.

Bingo! That's clearly what I said. You didn't twist my words at all.

Who cares which was selling more? Better question, which sold significantly more around launch at a higher price point? Gears 3. It also had a significant lead before the U3 bundling began. I doubt its a coincidence U3 caught up.

More Gears fans were there at launch. Uncharted fans waited for price cuts and many just had it handed it to them whether they wanted it or not.

You guys do know that a company cant just ship X amount of stuff unless it actually sells.

Sony gets the money from the retailers and the retailers buy them based upon demand from us.

So if the retailers are like: Eyo Sony, hook us up with another X amount of the UC3 bundle, shits selling like hot cakes -> They will do so.

Same goes for MS and Gears 3 which.. well yeah, wont go there. xD

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
