I have nothing against bundles, but i do find a bit silly that some people in this thread give certain franchises a hard time due to bundling but when it comes to their favourite game being bundled they deliberately turn a blind eye to it.

The guys talking about bundles... I'm a little surprised by Sony not heavy bundled GT5 this holidays... that's the second year of the game (the third holidays) and I expected to Sony bundle it like hell.

Instead that Sony bundled others games for this end of the year... Uncharted and inFAMOUS... GT5 received just a bundle in Europe for 500GB Super Slim launch.

Maybe next year.

They could still bundle GT, just not in the states. Uncharted is more of a draw over here. GT would be a larger draw for Europe later on, so there is still time. I dont really know whether Europe has a Black Friday type day.

Hmm that's news to me. No, I will say I was wrong. But, at least it's the most expensive models that have Uncharted 3 bundled which we can assume are the least attractive models as a whole.
Don't go all "srsly, are you so proud that you can't admit you're wrong" before I have a chance to say it. At least now you've done more than you did with your first post. Would've been better to see you include all this in your post and not just come in with a hit and run post like that.

All that really does is prove both titles were bundled (Uncharted 3 a bit moreso). The fact that a franchise that started no where near Gears of War numbers to land where it is today is really saying a lot.

Both titles released this generation and had to build their fanbase. What Uncharted did isn't particularly any different or special compared to Gears. Uncharted DF sold less because it wasn't as good and it sold to a smaller fanbase. Uncharted 2 rated better and was hyped to the hilt hence the better sales. Uncharted 3 was good and has been heavily bundled, it says more about how important the franchise has been to Sony imo.

KillZone 2 was the only PS game i can remember that got "hyped to the hilt" over the internet

if anything people were completely shocked and caught off guard by how good Uncharted 2 was

i dont remember that much hype and i can remember that games release like it was yesterday

Uncharted 2 was massively hyped, I do know and I did buy it. It was critically praised universally, won loads of GOTY awards and I saw the advert with Nate dangling by one hand everywhere. It was the year Sony finally got their marketing on track and Uncharted was its poster boy. Gears games have also been hyped but the sequels never got the same push that the original did from Microsoft.

If you believe that to still be true please tell me how GT5 and GOW3 weren't hyped heavily let alone Uncharted 2 which you clearly don't think was (which is crazy). man everybody was waiting on Killzone 2. That game was supposed to be the "Halo" on ps3. Killzone 2 had a lot to live up to. I dont remember that many people waiting on Uncharted 2 the way people were waiting for Killzone 2's release. Killzone 2 was supposed to be THAT game. Uncharted 2 came more as a shock to people(Demons souls did aswell that year).

GT5 and GOW3 had more hype than Uncharted 2. GT5 was the closest to Killzone 2 so i guess i can see why you would consider that as also being" hyped to the hilt" aswell but i would still say that Killzone 2 had the biggest hype around it ESPECIALLY at a time when PS3 didn't have that many exclusives

I would assume that there is no Black Friday in Europe because there is no Thanksgiving holiday in Europe.

I would assume that there is no Black Friday in Europe because there is no Thanksgiving holiday in Europe.

Black Friday isnt about Thanksgiving, Its the day retailers make a profit off of their goods for the year.

On that at least I can definitely agree, I think it was the entire 3 year build up after the CGI rendering. I remember the comparison videos going side by side as people tried to judge if they hit their target (which they did imo). Back in the good old days before the sales trends settled down when a good exclusive or price cut could make big differences. As for me exaggerating, I suspect it had soimething to do with being grumpy having being working all weekend putting xmas decorations up inside and outside of the house.
