Seriously, what does it take to make you say: "Okay, I was wrong. Uncharted was bundled in Europe." Are you too proud for soemthing like that?

Hmm that's news to me. No, I will say I was wrong. But, at least it's the most expensive models that have Uncharted 3 bundled which we can assume are the least attractive models as a whole.
Don't go all "srsly, are you so proud that you can't admit you're wrong" before I have a chance to say it. At least now you've done more than you did with your first post. Would've been better to see you include all this in your post and not just come in with a hit and run post like that.

All that really does is prove both titles were bundled (Uncharted 3 a bit moreso). The fact that a franchise that started no where near Gears of War numbers to land where it is today is really saying a lot.

 


Both titles released this generation and had to build their fanbase.  What Uncharted did isn't particularly any different or special compared to Gears.  Uncharted DF sold less because it wasn't as good and it sold to a smaller fanbase.  Uncharted 2 rated better and was hyped to the hilt hence the better sales.  Uncharted 3 was good and has been heavily bundled, it says more about how important the franchise has been to Sony imo.

KillZone 2 was the only PS game i can remember that got "hyped to the hilt" over the internet

 

if anything people were completely shocked and caught off guard by how good Uncharted 2 was

 

i dont remember that much hype and i can remember that games release like it was yesterday

 

 


Uncharted 2 was massively hyped, I do know and I did buy it.  It was critically praised universally, won loads of GOTY awards and I saw the advert with Nate dangling by one hand everywhere.  It was the year Sony finally got their marketing on track and Uncharted was its poster boy.  Gears games have also been hyped but the sequels never got the same push that the original did from Microsoft.

 

Can you seriously say GT5 and GOW3 weren't hyped lol

i find it a bit nuts that you would claim that i said that i dont remember any PS game being hyped when i CLEARLY never said that..


So the only game that fans were "hyped to the hilt" over the internet was Killzone was it?  That was your statement quoted above.  If you believe that to still be true please tell me how GT5 and GOW3 weren't hyped heavily let alone Uncharted 2 which you clearly don't think was (which is crazy).  Some of you people have very short memories.

Uncharted 3 is bundled for its entire time on the market. So yeah, what an achievement. Kung Fu Panda did amazingly well in Xbox 360, too!



Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Some silly arguments. Why would anyone buy a bundle if he does not think he would play the game? I would never do that. Instead I would go with a vanilla console with higher storage.

When I bought my 360, there was a Forza bundle and a vanilla console. I don't like Forza so I did not buy it. It's not like I swallow every free things that is thrown to me.

yup, thats why uncharted 3's sales before the bundling (which were about 1.1 million) well be higher than gears 3's entire 2012 sales :D

So? It wouldnt have caught up anytime soon if it wasnt bundled.


Gears was bundled last year. It didnt move as much as one was thought. It was a sexy red and black finish on the 360 as well.

I preorded the Halo 4 limited edition becuase I collect Halo special editions. But I also wanted to upgrade my old white Xbox Pro to a Xbox 360 Slim. I decided the Halo 4 Special Edition 360 was going to be the one. It had Halo 4 standard edition, but I already had Halo 4 limited edition.

I sold the standard edition of the game to a friend.

Problem solved, money in pocket.

I'm sure lots of people buy bundles regardless of the games just because of the extra value. They either give them to friends, sell them as new, or trade them in for credit.

You don't have to swallow every free thing thrown at you, but it's not a bad idea to catch it instead of dodging it.

Judgement will essentially be a Gears 3 filler for the rest of the year. No innovations to the multiplayer, but whatever, I am a Gears Head, I love that stereotypical American military bullshit action. Bulletstorm was fun too, so I trust them with it basically being the same engine.

No it wouldn't, we'd then argue over what the definition of bundling was.  The system works fine, I think this issue stems from the fact that for the last 4 years Sony fans brought up the bundled card whenever certain franchises were mentioned that were on Nintendo and Microsoft consoles.  This is one of the occasions that a PS3 exclusive gets great sales so people seem obliged to rub the bundled card back in peoples faces.  It didn't matter when it was about Forza, Halo ODST, etc and it doesn't matter now either, it's just another example of hypocrisy amongst gaming fans (there's plenty of it across numerous issues).

Like I said. I see nothing wrong with budles. It's not like everyone buying an Xbox 360 with Halo Reach bundled opened the box and threw away the game. They either played it or they sold it.  The game got played either way.
