Forums - Gaming - Vgchartz is more informed than outside sites

Just like you said, Nintendo only needs you to buy 1 Wii U game for the Wii U business to be profitable. This means the Wii U itself is sold at a very small loss. It'll be profitable by this time next year and if sales are low they could swallow a ~$50 price cut if needed.

250 for basic and 300 for premium would actually be a pretty damn good price point for next holiday season.

So true, JayWood.

I am consistently impressed with the posters here. Roll over to the comments section at IGN and GameSpot, and try not to throw your fist through the screen.

There are some people with questionable insights in here, not to mention obvious and heavy bias, but I agree that the average member here is a lot more informed than the average consumer and, as far as sales go, more than the average gamer as well.

What a terrible generic statement. Do you mean to say Vgchartz is more informed than Neogaf?

How about N4G is filled with Sony fans that mainly want to see Nintendo fail.

And here we have Nintendo fans that mainly want to see Sony fail.

I think it's a fair statement. Most games sites are dedicated to games in general. This one is games, but specifically games as a business. I think it attracts more informed posters. I've creeped it since the last wave of systems were launch and recently joined because I wanted to share in some discussion. I'm an investor and recently started investing in games companies. I find the discussion on this site useful. Other sites tend to be much more fanboyish.

Welcome to vgchartz haha But yeah I agree with you

Wait the Wii U hasn't sold better than the Wii though :| But apart from that true ;)

I thought it sold more at launch than the wii in america?  Maybe I'm mistaking that with software so yeah I'm most likely wrong on that.

That's why I like this site so much. With the exception of some users most people on this site know how to make smart and reasonable comments. Most users do explain why they don't like a certain game or console, they don't say "this sucks". When I checked some comments on other sites the amount of ignorance shocks me sometimes, that's why I rarely visit them.

I found funny when some users on this site say that we are full of fanboys who only criticize but I rarely see them at the same level as other websites. Just because you don't agree with them doesn't mean they're fanboys, as long as they give reasons as to why they dislike a certain game or console.

Nah, it's more like people who don't know what they are talking about come here and get stuck in a logic loop. :D
