This could very well just be a mistake, but sometime retailers do spill the beans early. What do you guys think? Anchorman was definitely NEVER released on Blu-Ray either. For those who don't know, Paramount is currently HD-DVD exclusive after it ditched its Blu-Ray production about 6 months ago.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Wouldn't surprise me if true.

Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.

If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.

I can't say I have missed out on that many Paramount hi-def titles besides Black Snake Moan and a few others (I am not a Transformers fan, but I do like some of their Spieldberg catalog), but I would definitely like to see them back in the Blu.

I would definitely like to see Sweeney Todd in hi-def.

Well they were going to switch to Blu ray at some point because it is the clear winner. Although Amazon have been known to get things wrong in the past...

Frankly, I'm not sure that amazon are the definitive source for BD news, but I do think that it will be too long before Paramount brings these movies to blu-ray

Paramount titles in Blu-ray on Amazon
Submitted by Simon W - whoelse on Mon, 01/21/2008 - 17:34. HD War

Take this rumor with a grain of salt but over at amazon.co.uk, it has listed 5 titles from Paramount on the Blu-ray format.

Anchorman, Coming to America, Trading Places, Failure to Launch and Freedom Writers.

Now this could be a simple mistake, or it could be a sign that Paramount is ready to re-join the Blu-ray camp.

Time to Work !

i think they need to stop mucking about and support DVD exclusively

I think it is too much of a coincidence for all these films to be releasing on the same day if it wasn't real.

Looks like March 10th 2008 will be the day HD-DVD dies

This is in Europe only mind you (amazon.co.uk). Paramount might have different clauses, etc. for different contracts in different countries.
