Yes PS All Stars is not good, according to reviews.

When compared to SSB, it is terrible -- WE ALL GET THAT.

But why would we compare something Nintendo does excellently to something Sony is just trying out??

I think give it time - if Sony makes a sequel, it could be great!

For now though, it looks like Sony's first foray into this type of game has not panned out. But at least they tried!

I think Sony will continue to try out new ideas and they should be recognized for that (even if is doesn't work out like this particular game).

after having read this thread, I'm wanting to just up and leave this site. I know it's the 'cool' thing to be dissin' Sony and especially the Vita, but on a sales related site, it's like you all get off on reminding each other that a game is selling poorly. I realize this is a sales discussion, but you'd figure with the infinite access to the internet, you'd have the ability to research and see that, generally, new IP's don't sell well out the gate. We only have ONE week numbers for this game, there's a LOT of life left in it.

Besides, people were bound and determined to HATE the game since in their eyes it's just a smash brothers ripoff, even though you should know better.

remmeber Grand Theft auto, and how for YEARS anything with an open world or city was a "Grand Theft auto" Clone...even as recent as 2010, Red Dead Redemption was labelled by many as "Grand Theft Equine", even though it was made by the same developer. Nintendo has innovated so many things, if nobody was allowed to imitate them, then by now the industry would be a monopoly. I just wish people would have the intelligence and foresight to realize that this petty hatred and ire will be laughed at in a few years time.

Flop is a matter of perspective.  When people arw predicting it will be the top selling fighting game this generation, and it isn't going to come close, by their standards, it is a flop.  If, by the standards of it being profitable and becoming a franchise, and making number of Playstation fans happy with it on its own merits, it still has a good chance of doing it.

People need to seriously stop spinning titles as killer apps that will be system sells and difference makers in the console wars, and let them stand on their own merits.

Who the heck predicted that it would do over 15 million in sales lifetime?  Do people even know how different game genres are selling this generation?  I mean, SERIOUSLY people... really?  I saw 10 people in that poll who predicted that.  

Keep doing stuff like this, and you will live forever disappointed.

Back at E3 everyone was saying the PS3 would eat the other consoles alive for the holidays because of the great exclusive content...

PS All Stars, LBP Karting, and Last of Us... Plus Wonder Books for the casuals...

Last of Us ended up being a title for next year, LBP Karting, PS All Stars are both flops... Wonder Books is non-existent.

I think PS All Stars and LBP Karting are good games. But, I can't help but think that PSN Plus people are sitting there thinking... "Why buy it when it will show up free in a few months?". As much as PSN Plus has helped Sony fund their network services, I also think the free games part has to be affecting sales of key games like these. I have pretty much stopped buying PS3 games... I just wait for the monthly list and accept the freebies as my PS3 collection now.

How can you call a game a flop if it hasn't even been out for more then two weeks?
