Yes your arguments has been childish and I'll say that again. Don't bring up something up and then later say oh no. Amazon reviews show nothing about how good a game is. It's a low budget game, it doesn't need to sell millions to be profitable.
Besides this game will have legs, like all PS3 exclusives.

I'm pretty sure this game got overlooked by all the great deals on some other games, Black Friday is not a great time to launch a new IP if you ask me.

Why are you comparing Black Ops 2 to this game anyway? lmfao

I thought we were talking consoles.. Fighters don't work well on handhelds and Tekken is the wrong exclusive for Nintendo. That game is better suited to cross platform. There is no point to having a fighter be exclusive to a console unless you're going to have it be on a Nintendo console and have Nintendo characters in it. If you do it right it will work because Nintendo fans are very passionate about their icons. I bought Soul Calibur on cube mainly due to the exclusive inclusion of Link however I'm not sure adding a Sony icon would have the same effect on Sony fans. They aren't as into their icons. Killer Instinct is another example of an exclusive and very unique fighter to do well on Nintendo.

I can't think of any exclusive fighters this gen besides Dead or Alive 3 for 360 and it didnt sell above 1 million(low install base). Im sure there is other exclusives but i cant think of any. Comparing game trends 10 years ago will probably be different now. However Super Smash Bros sells extremely well and its in the same genre as all stars so you have that. So exclusive fighters can sell well if done right

1. No, this was not a AAA game.
2. Yes, it did take years to develop. So do a lot of other games like Duke Nukem Forever.
3. Hyped beyond reason? No. Most were complaining their favorite characters didn't make it in.
4. Probably, but this is a new IP, and its a PS3 exclusive. Not a good combo. It'll have legs tho.

No one is saying this is "fine". Yes, it flopped. But this is a new IP, no one expected it to top the charts. Forza Horizon is an established IP that many call "better than GT". Yet with each release it sells less and less.

Rol links a thread where Gilgamesh gives a crazy prediction. If youactually look through that thread you will see that majority don't even agree with him at all. Most here actually predicted between 1.5-3M sales overall (Average) from my memory. Some do say that they think the maximum it could "potentially" sell is around 5M, but if you also look, it wasn't just Sony fans who said that, which is why the attacking is way off base.

You will also see in that same thread that people claimed "Same thing will happen with this that happened to LBP. People expected HUGE sales and many expected even 10M." Even there I had to correct them to let them know that it wasn't Sony fans that thought that, but that it was DMeister who started the "LBP will be HUGE" thing and it was Gearbox (A user, not the studio) who was the one who predicted 10M. Doesn't matter though because once a crazy prediction is made, for some reason all Sony fans get lumped up into it unfairly.

it would be like everyone saying the Wii flopped because Nintendo fans predicted 200M+ sales for the Wii, meanwhile it was a select few, with JohnLucas I believe predicting WAY beyond that.

I do agree with you. But even 3m is pretty crazy. Anyways you do make sense and I agree with you about a lot of stuff, but when people make these predictions it is asking for people (in this case Rol) to make a thread about it when it appears to not come close to predictions. I believe at most ill probably do 1.5m and I think that is pretty realistic but this title was being hyped up by people a lot this year. A lot of it was hate because it appears to be a clone of another similar brawler but a lot of it wasn't. We would have the same kind of thread if Halo didn't achieve 3m+ on the first day and lostplanet was correct in what he said. I know why he got banned but i dont know how long he is. Im hoping it wasnt to severe because he was stating the truth and honestly there was much worst things said in this thread.

Well, many of those predictions were including the title possibly being bundled, so 3M+ isn't really that crazy, especially crazy enough for people to be attacking the fanbase. We also have no idea about digital sales, but don't think for a second that makes me believe we are actually sitting at 300k!! I am actually curious to know what the numbers are for NPD this month. I think it's going to be a fun one for everyone.

As for Lostplanet22, I really don't mind how long his ban is either since I don't ever report anyone, but do realize that he has been on this crusade for the last few days or so. Not just about PSASBR, but against Sony fans in general. So no idea on the length. That's up to the mods to decide.

Anyways, the sales don't actually bother me since I don't even own the title. I just wanted to get some facts out there and hopefully get some to chill out a bit. I'm going to back to the VGC Vita Cult that I have been told is hated by the rest of the VGC community. It's a nice group over there. Come over and hang out with us sometime.
