Considering the way people were hyping this game up all year long yes I see this as a flop on both sides. People were predicting this to be a multi-million seller, and honestly unless this game get's bundled itll be lucky to reach 1 million.  Im not sure what the metacritic for it is atm, around a 78 which is not a big flop but for the expectations that people had it is a bit low.  I'm not saying it is a bad game because I know people are enjoying it on here but I have stood behind my prediction since the beta. 


As for scores, most people expected low 80s or even lower. Scores are a bit low, but not enough to say the scores have flopped.

I don't know about that, Maybe I just haven't read enough all stars threads but I saw the majority of people predicting an 85-90.  That I could be wrong on, just what I have seen

Dude fighting games rarely get high scores nowadays because people are trying their hardest to point out every flaw. Mortal Kombat has an 84 and Street Fight X Tekken has an 84. You have to remember this is the first fighting game that Superbot has done (that i'm aware of). If they have the chance to make a sequel I'm sure they will learn from their mistakes and improve on the game.

This is off topic but Kimbo Slice is shit. Guy can't last in the UFC cause all he has are his punches. Take him to the ground and hese done.

Expectation here was 91. It scored 87

It isnt a flop even in that regard.   4% less than the prediction.

Usually it has to be in the double digit for a prediction to be met. 70-79, 80-89, 90+

Halo 4 flopped. Not by much, but it did. Sales wise it is no flop and the game is still loved by Halo fans. Hey, it happens.

As Pezus said, most of the hype was from Nintendo fans hoping it would fail because of how much it looked like Smash Bros. They haven't even played the game enough to realize it's nothing like Smash Bros. The only hype for this game was the hype that it would fail. Pathetic.

It was hyped as a 70s game? Come to think of it every important PS3 exclusive this year scored in the 70s, with only MLB scoring in the 80s. Dont tell me those were all predicted accordingly.

The highest rated console exclusive of the year is a PS3 exclusive. So try again. Meanwhile, none of MS 90+ rated franchises managed a 90 this time around. Shouldn't this tell you something?

Edit: Basically, Halo 4 was hyped as an AAA rated game. It wasn't. Same for Forza. 

MLB is on Vita. Ergo it is not a PS3 exclusive.FYI, MLB being the highest rated PS3 game of 2012 is not something at all to brag about...

Forza was predicted as a 80s game due to being a sprinoff. That prediction was met.

Declassified week 2 > PS All Stars week 1 in the UK.

If it does similar in other European countries, PS All Stars' first week in Europe will be ~20-25k.
