I would recommend that Sony loyalists save up and buy a Wii U and 360, and Microsoft loyalists do the same for PS3 and Wii U. Limiting oneself to one-third of the market doesn't make a whole lot of sense for anyone. Unless you simply can't afford more than one console.

Cant blame a lot of Sony owners when Sony makes so much that sticks and Microsoft makes only so much that stays. I only play two games on my Xbox 360 outside of multiplats. The only new game they have that stuck this gen was Gears of War and they never even made that, Epic did. Epic was their bioware this gengeration because they carried Microsofts royal hides last gen.

I personally think Sony would make their games mostly for a Nintendo console exclusively, due to its popularity in Japan, and no fees for online.

Wouldn't make sense, wrong age group. The majority of people who play the PS3 are older. God of War and just does not make sense, thats overkill. Too much blood and I doubt most parents would appreciateit when they buy a  console for the family.

I can easily wait to see what both have to offer before deciding which one to go with. But as it stands right now it's PS4 as Sony have the IPs I like the most.

I agree. God of War belongs on a console that can't have Bayonetta.

LOL They can have Bayonetta, and besides that game does not represent Nintendo, it represents Sega/Platinum Games. They are trying to get the core to come over to them and I cant blame them for thinking it will work.

It's not that i can't afford to have more then 1 console. It's that as right now I already don't have time to play all the games I want on the ps3 so how in the world am I then supposed to have time to play on 2 consoles? Same goes with handhelds where I only have the psvita.

From a japanese market perspective. The japs don't care about GoW.

Fair enough. I definitely agree that between the two, Playstation makes more sense. Most of the high-profile third-party games (even if they underperform the Xbox versions), plus a boatload of high-quality exclusives. Plus a free online service. But I always encourage players to break out of their comfort zones. There are some amazing titles on every console, and on PC. Fable, Forza, Gears of War, and Halo are enough to justify the purchase of a 360, if the consumer has enough disposable income. And Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Animal Crossing, and Donkey Kong justify the purchase of a Wii or Wii U.

Indeed. It's almost like Sony making a kart racer in order to nab some Mario Kart fans. At least it shows an attempt at diversification, but sometimes it's best to stick with what the audience expects.

Well, that's a good reason too. To be honest I am constantly overwhelmed with my backlog: games from all current generation systems plus older consoles. It's a really tough juggling act, but I think the exposure to different developers, companies, and games grants players a good perspective.
