Revelations is a great title in the DS, but on home consoles it will be a sub-par resident evil.

How so?

The game is structured in a way that supports small bursts of play. The rooms are small to constrict to the 3DS RAM, theres a few elevators and door wich are hiding loading times. The campaign itself is not super long aswell. People who play it wont be pleased. In technical terms its worse than RE5/6, alot worse. But in a portable its a really good experience. Theres also a 3D effect to it that is really good and consoles wont have. Even if HD, im not sure the console versions will ever be better than the 3DS one. It will always be a sub-par experience and i'm not sure thats what the series needs.

Would be better if they just developed a new RE:CV (aka non-numbered but main series entry resident evil) that is more suvival horror.

Someone mentioned it possibly beeing a downloadable title. If thats the case then its not so bad at reduced price. At a full priced retail release it wont work though.

Another option is if they completely remade the game on a new engine, upresing textures and gameplay scope. Sounds like a lot of trouble to me though.

That is indeed a bold claim and it contains the implication that self-proclaimed hardcore gamers will not buy Nintendo hardware, no matter what. (140m PS3/360 owners own less 3DSes than 1m Wii U owners.)

I'll leave you alone now.

Beautifully done, Rol.  lol

Not really, Ken :S I don't want to drag anyone down, but it's really wrong thinking.

If 140m owners are out there (which we know there clearly is not, but skip), with 22m 3DS sold to date, umm that leaves a lot of PS360 owners without a 3DS, for certain. For 1m WiiU owners, there's a much higher chance of them actually all owning a 3DS.

@OP. And with that, suddenly the game has new fans.

A vita version aswell I hope, it is a portable made game after all.

Capcom: [laughs]

I actually thought this would be ported to Vita on day 1.  Then they announced Monster Hunter for 3DS ....

Maybe they'll actually give it a number and put it in the "main series" like it deserves. I heard "6" isn't taken yet!

Oh snap...

Revelations IS part of the main series.

I hope they do bring some Resident Evil games for the wii u

A Wii U port just makes sense. I, for one, would double dip. I truly is an awesome ResiEvil game more akin to the old survival horror classics.

The way Capcom is supporting the Wii U, I'd say if this port is happening it will most definitely come to the Wii U.

Yeah, we are DEFINITELY gonna see RE on WiiU.  Capcom is giving MH3 to the Japanese market, and it won't be their only title.  RE is a given on WiiU.  WIll it be this?  Probably not, but we'll see the franchise on WiiU either way.

Did you pick up your Wii U yet, JT?

Did anyone see sales of the 3ds version? The nintendo crowd hhhardyly bought it. Wii u version would make sence.

How in the hell does that make sense? If they didnt buy it on 3ds, why would they buy it on Wii U?

OT, not surprised at all, lets keep it real, compared to other RE it didtn do to hot, its a shame it did worse than ORC, despite being out longer and getting a price cut quicker. I know people will say "but, but, portable and lower install base!" 3ds has been selling more than the other consoles and portables all year. Number 1 at least every week, but few are actually buying the game.

Why would they put it on WiiU? The Nintendo core crowd will already own a 3DS and they clearly not interested in this game, putting it on WiiU would result in just as bad sales if not worse.

You can blame the bad sales partially on Capcom.

RE Merceneries only allowed one save file that couldn't be deleted.  After that point not many wanted to care for the Revelations. Even though the game is great.

Also WiiU fans would buy it if it had wii remote controls.

Look at RE4. Same crowd probably got it on GCN before.

this would only make sense if Mercernaries sold better than Revelations...which it didnt.
